Reporting to Lead Hand, The Carpenter Journeyman&nbsp;<span> </span>is responsible for assisting in constructing, erecting, installing and repairing structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard, conforming to local building codes.&nbsp;</p><p>This is a full-time permanent role based in Kamloops</p><p>Job Responsibilities:&nbsp;</p><ul style=\"list-style-type:disc;\"><li style=\"tab-stops:list 36.0pt;\">Build house framework, walls, roof, exterior and interior finishes</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list 36.0pt;\">Install doors, windows, flooring, cabinets, stairs, handrails, paneling, molding, and ceiling tiles</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list 36.0pt;\">Repair and remodel existing structures of all kinds</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list 36.0pt;\">Read and interpret drawings.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list 36.0pt;\">Select materials, plan sequences and methods of work, and measure and mark materials to avoid costly mistakes or omissions.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list 36.0pt;\">Cut and shape materials and join them with nails, screws, bolts, or glue.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list 36.0pt;\">Check completed units to ensure they are level, square, plumb, and in the right size, shape, and location.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list 36.0pt;\">Work accurately and economically and follow national and local building codes</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list 36.0pt;\">Other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p>Who You Are:&nbsp;</p><ul style=\"list-style-type:disc;\"><li style=\"tab-stops:list 36.0pt;\">Carpenter Journeyperson</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list 36.0pt;\">Previous experience with modular units is considered an asset</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list 36.0pt;\">Ability to read and interpret blueprints.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list 36.0pt;\">Ability to work safely with a wide variety of hand and power tools as well as other building materials.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list 36.0pt;\">Ability to work in a team environment.</li></ul><p>What We Offer:</p><ul style=\"list-style-type:disc;\"><li style=\"tab-stops:list 36.0pt;\">Competitive hourly rate $32 - $38.50 &nbsp;and Benefits</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list 36.0pt;\">Indoor manufacturing facility, Work life balance, Day shift, Monday – Friday.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list 36.0pt;\">Opportunity to work on exciting projects.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list 36.0pt;\">Safety-driven, diverse, and inclusive workforce</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Who we Are:</p><p>ATCO Structures is a worldwide leader in modular design, manufacturing, and construction.
