Such care is provided in an office, outpatient, or inpatient setting and includes the full and expected mix of patient problems and surgical approaches.</li>\n <li> Provides “non-trauma” coverage on an “on-call” capacity for Emanuel, Good Samaritan and Tuality Hospitals.</li>\n <li> Provides office follow up of cardiothoracic patients.</li>\n <li> Provides consultation on cardiothoracic surgical issues.</li>\n <li> Participates in Legacy Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement programs as appropriate for clinical practice.</li>\n <li> Participates on relevant committees as requested. </li>\n <li> Participates in community outreach activities regarding Legacy’s cardiothoracic surgery services.</li>\n <li> Completes medical records, coding and billing schedules and forms, and other needed paperwork in a timely fashion.</li>\n <li> Works with other specialists (radiology, cardiology) to develop a comprehensive Legacy cardiovascular surgery program.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Graduate of four-year U.S. Medical School or equivalent.</li>\n <li>Completion of general surgery residency.</li>\n <li>Fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Licensure</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Medical License, DEA, BLS for the applicable state.</li>\n <li>Membership on LPH Medical Staff.</li>\n <li>Board Certified in Thoracic Surgery.</li>\n <li>BLS for Providers certification from the American Heart Association required.</li>\n <li>ACLS certification from the American Heart Association required.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Our Commitment to Health and Equal Opportunity</h2>\n<p>Our Legacy is good for health for Our People, Our Patients, Our Communities, Our World.
