    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>A warm and welcoming family in Woodside, CA is seeking a Full-Time Back-Up Nanny to support their nanny team in caring for their 3-year-old son and 1-year-old daughter. This position is unique: the nanny will be on retainer year-round and will work up to a maximum of 12 weeks per year to provide coverage when the primary nannies are on vacation, out sick, or otherwise unavailable. You MUST live within a two-hour drive of Woodside to be considered, to ensure availabiliuty for some of the last minute coverage(i.e the other nanny calls out sick). </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The current nanny team operates on a rotational schedule of 7-days on / 7-days off, from 7am–7pm, live-out. The back-up nanny will follow this same schedule during all coverage weeks. Unless you're covering for the babies nanny then the hours are 6:30-7:00 pm.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Vacation weeks will be communicated in advance whenever possible, but this role also requires comfort with occasional last-minute requests. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This is a casual but fully staffed home that includes a chef, housekeeper, PA, and a team of three nannies. The family values individuals who can be warm and personable while still maintaining professional boundaries.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide high-quality, attentive care</li>\n <li>Step seamlessly into the established routine and maintain consistency of care</li>\n <li>Plan and engage in age-appropriate, developmentally supportive activities</li>\n <li>Take the children on walks, supervise outings, and support developmental milestones</li>\n <li>Prepare children’s meals and snacks</li>\n <li>Assist with child-related light housekeeping, including laundry, sanitizing toys, and keeping play and bedroom spaces tidy</li>\n <li>Collaborate professionally with the household team</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Passionate about childcare and early childhood development</li>\n <li>Warm, encouraging, and able to maintain professionalism at all times</li>\n <li>Energetic and engaged</li>\n <li>A team player who integrates well into a staffed household</li>\n <li>Able to remain fully present with the children</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Requirements</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Toddler experience with at least three verifiable references</li>\n <li>Must be available to work Christmas 2026 and then every other year after</li>\n <li>Up to date on vaccinations or willing to update prior to start</li>\n <li>CPR/FirstAidcertified(or willing to obtain)</li>\n <li>TrustLine certified (or willing to obtain)</li>\n <li>Valid passport; must be willing to travel domestically and internationally</li>\n <li>Valid driver’s license</li>\n <li>Authorized to work in the U.S.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Salary and Benefits</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Guaranteed annual retainer totaling $60,000+ NET, regardless of how many of the 12 weeks are worked</li>\n <li>Maximum of 12 work weeks per year following the 7-on/7-off, 7am–7pm schedule</li>\n <li>Must be willing to work holidays as needed (additional holiday pay provided)</li>\n <li>Family is open to the nanny being live-in during working weeks</li>\n <ul>\n  <li>Private bedroom and bathroom will be provided</li>\n  <li>Local candidates preferred, but not required due to live-in option</li>\n </ul>\n <li>Nanny car can be provided </li>\n</ul>",
