    "requisitionDescription": "<p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>About ESi&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Engineering Systems Inc. (ESi) is an engineering and scientific investigation and failure analysis firm. We primarily work with law firms, insurance companies, and manufacturers on small to large-scale projects to answer any technical questions they have. Our projects can entail investigating major transportation accidents, equipment failures, personal injury claims, and damage to residential or commercial structures. The variety and depth of our project work creates a variety of fulfilling roles at ESi.</p><p>The candidate should have a fundamental interest in the automotive field and be motivated to develop and grow this practice area within ESi.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Support existing consulting projects that involve the analysis and testing of automotive and commercial vehicles / heavy truck crashes.</li><li>Examine vehicle body structure and cab crashworthiness, regulations, and advanced technologies in occupant protection.</li><li>Perform vehicle crash investigation, reconstruction, simulation, and analysis.</li><li>Performs vehicular investigations, including documenting crash scenes, using 3D laser scanners, photography, drones, CDR/EDR/ECM/Brake Module downloads, and measuring devices.</li><li>Investigate vehicle incidents related to recalls, as well as alleged design or manufacturing defects.</li><li>Develop specialized expertise in the automotive and commercial truck fields such as the design, performance, and testing of existing or emerging technologies.</li><li>Perform marketing activities and pursue business development opportunities to identify potential clients and strategies to build client base nationwide.</li><li>Develop and grow this practice area.</li><li>Develop proposals and perform research of various advanced vehicle technologies. Author and publish related technical papers.</li><li>Manage projects from initiation to completion. Prepare technical, project-related reports on a timely basis for clients as required.</li><li>Testify in court proceedings (depositions and/or trials) on behalf of clients as required.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Bachelor&#39;s Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or general engineering required.</li><li>Master&rsquo;s Degree or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field preferred.</li><li>7+ years of work experience with automotive body structures and/or commercial vehicle / heavy truck structures, especially as they relate to crashworthiness and occupant protection.</li><li>Vehicle design validation experience, especially as it pertains to FMVSS/FMCSR compliance.</li><li>Ability to generate business and manage client relationships.</li><li>Knowledge of automotive systems and heavy vehicles handling dynamics.
