Description

School Nurse (Maternity Cover) November 2026 – April 2027 The Island Private School of Limassol is seeking a competent and experienced School Nurse to join our team on a fixed-term maternity cover contract from November 2026 to April 2027. We are also in the process of building our new school campus on a beautiful 50,000 m² site, which will include kindergarten, elementary and high school facilities, an international boarding school, and accommodation for teachers. This is a great opportunity to join a growing school during an exciting period of development and expansion. Working Hours Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 16:30 (flexible schedule with a break) Key Responsibilities Provide first aid, emergency pre-medical care, and basic healthcare to students in cases of injury or acute illness in accordance with applicable regulations and standards of care. Organise and conduct pre-medical examinations of students, including the management of medical records and laboratory diagnostic tests provided by parents. Inform parents or legal guardians of planned medical care, preventive examinations, and other health-related activities and obtain the necessary authorisations. Coordinate the collection and processing of medical documentation, including informed consent forms, paediatric examination forms, and other required records, ensuring all information is accurately maintained within the school's IT systems. Arrange ambulance transportation and prepare documentation for hospitalisation when required. Organise and implement anti-epidemic and preventive measures to minimise the spread of infectious and parasitic diseases within the school community. Deliver health education sessions and awareness programmes for students, parents, and staff. Maintain all required medical records and reporting documentation in accordance with current regulations. Manage medical supplies, medications, and First Aid kits throughout the school. Promote healthy lifestyle habits through presentations, workshops, and activities. Record and analyse incidents and injuries in accordance with school policies and recommend preventative measures. Participate in risk assessments for school trips, events, and health and safety planning. Coordinate vision and hearing screenings and support voluntary vaccination programmes. Assist families with health insurance claims related to accidents or injuries in cooperation with the reception team. Provide consultative, diagnostic, and other healthcare services in accordance with the scope of the professional licence. Support the development and implementation of health-related school policies and procedures. Qualifications Registered Nurse licence. Minimum of 2 years' nursing experience. Strong problem-solving and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Compassionate and student-centred approach. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Nursing. Fluent Greek and English are essential. Russian and/or additional languages will be considered an advantage.
