    "description": "<h2>Job Description</h2>\n<p>Dewberry has an immediate opening for an entry level <strong>Survey Field Technician I</strong> to work in our <strong>Lanham, MD</strong> office location as a member of a survey crew performing boundary, topography, ALTA, right of way, and construction surveys for public and private clients. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Responsibilities include completing a variety of professional assignments to facilitate the completion of roads, bridges, building sites, recreational areas, retracement of surveys, and establishment of property corners. Our commitment to excellence stems from our personal integrity and from other defining attributes, which we call \"Dewberry at Work,\" that have inspired our employees to be successful for over 60 years.</em></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform land surveying and as-built related activities.</li>\n <li>Assist Party Chief as directed to conduct land surveys for the determination and retracement of survey boundary lines to establish property corners.</li>\n <li>Maintain surveying equipment and survey vehicle inventory.</li>\n <li>Maintain records and prepare reports and other nonessential functions as required.</li>\n <li>Performs related work as assigned.</li>\n <li>Work in a safe manner and obey all safety regulations.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Required Skills & Required Experience</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be physically able to work outdoors and on construction sites under all weather conditions and terrains.</li>\n <li>Must be dependable.</li>\n <li>Must pass a drug test if required.</li>\n <li>Must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record and be able to maintain a valid driver’s license.</li>\n <li>High School Diploma or GED is required.</li>\n <li>Basic math competency, have knowledge or able to learn survey computer programs, and survey computations applicable to the work.</li>\n <li>Familiarize yourself with the nomenclature and symbols of drafting, the surveying instruments and equipment and their use and care as well as the principles and practices of land surveying.</li>\n <li>Use basic calculator and the ability to make arithmetic computations accurately and record results legibly.</li>\n <li>Ability to follow directions.</li>\n <li>Must be able to pass DOT drug/alcohol testing and ability to pass a background check.</li>\n <li>Must be willing and able to travel for extended periods for out of town work.</li>\n <li>Physically able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and terrains.</li>\n <li>Ability to repetitively stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat and lift 50 lbs; includes body weight, equipment, tools and boxes, in addition to ability to stand for long periods of time on varied surfaces.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Don’t meet every single requirement?
