This position offers a unique opportunity to combine hands-on technical leadership with the ability to help shape how RS&H supports airports throughout Oregon and the broader Pacific Northwest.</p>\n<p>This role will be based in our Lake Oswego office and will serve as a key local aviation resource. Supporting existing regional projects and enabling RS&H to more effectively pursue new opportunities, including future work at Portland International Airport (PDX).</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></p>\n<p>As a Senior Airfield Engineer, you will serve as a technical contributor and emerging leader on airfield civil engineering projects. Responsibilities may include:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Leading and contributing to the geometric design of runways, taxiways, aprons, and aircraft parking areas</li>\n <li>Concrete and asphalt airfield pavement design and evaluation</li>\n <li>Stormwater, drainage, and utility infrastructure design</li>\n <li>Aircraft parking layout and passenger boarding bridge modeling</li>\n <li>Acting as a key point of coordination with airport staff, airlines, FAA, and project stakeholders</li>\n <li>Supporting construction administration, inspection, and field activities</li>\n <li>Collaborating with aviation teams from other RS&H offices to deliver regional projects</li>\n <li>Supporting business development efforts, including positioning, proposals, and client relationships</li>\n <li>Helping mentor junior engineers as local aviation staffing grows</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The role offers flexibility to focus on technical leadership, project delivery, or a blend of project management and engineering, depending on your interests and strengths.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>Qualifications</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited ABET university</li>\n <li>Minimum of 10 years of experience, with at least two years of airport design experience</li>\n <li>Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain with 6 months is required</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil3D, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)</li>\n <li>Familiarity with FAA standards and airport project delivery preferred</li>\n <li>Strong communication skills and comfort working in a client‑facing role</li>\n <li>Interest in helping grow and shape an aviation practice locally</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Your Future at RS&H</strong></p>\n<p>This role offers a rare opportunity to help build something while benefiting from the stability, resources, and aviation depth of a national firm.</p>\n<p>At RS&H, you’ll have the opportunity to:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Grow into expanded technical or project leadership roles</li>\n <li>Play a meaningful role in expanding RS&H’s aviation footprint in Oregon</li>\n <li>Work on a wide variety of aviation projects across the U.S.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with experienced aviation professionals throughout the firm</li>\n <li>Shape your career path toward Project Manager, Senior Project Engineer, or technical leadership</li>\n</ul>\n<p>If you’re looking for a role where your experience, ideas, and leadership can make a visible impact - and where you can help grow aviation services in Oregon - we’d love to talk with you.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><em>An Equal Opportunity Employer.
