    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>South Country Co-op is currently hiring a Pharmacist to join our team at the Northlands Pharmacy location in Medicine Hat, AB.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Who we are:</strong><br>Co-op does business differently.&nbsp; As a co-operative, we believe in working together to serve Western Canadians, delivering profits back to our communities and investing in sustainable growth.&nbsp; To learn more about who we are and how you can help bring our brand to life, visit us at&nbsp;<a href=\"http://www.southcoutryco-op.crs\" target=\"_blank\">www.southcoutryco-op.crs</a></p><p><strong>What you’ll do:</strong></p><p>Reporting to the Pharmacy Manager, the Pharmacist is responsible for assisting the Pharmacy Manager with the overall operations of the Pharmacy department.&nbsp; Responsibilities include delivering world-class customer service, ordering and stocking pharmaceuticals, filling patient prescriptions, and providing information to customers.&nbsp; Our Pharmacists provide patient-focused care, including clinical services, counselling and professional advice on prescriptions and OTC products, and administering injections and immunizations.</p><ul><li>Obtain, interpret, and evaluate all prescriptions to ensure therapeutic appropriateness, cost-effectiveness, accuracy and completeness.</li><li>Develop and maintain strong working relationships with health care professionals in the community to ensure optimal patient care.</li><li>Supervise Pharmacy Assistants and Technicians.</li><li>Oversee all dispensing duties carried out by a Pharmacy Assistant to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of all prescription dispensed.</li><li>Ensure all medication dispensing processes are accurate and appropriately managed.</li></ul><p><strong>Why it matters:</strong></p><p>Our team provides a range of products and services to support our member-owners.&nbsp; Through the work that we do, we help build, fuel, feed and grow Western Canadian communities.</p><p><strong>Who you are:</strong></p><p>You are looking for a career in Pharmacy and:</p><ul><li>You have a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (B.Sc.Phm.) or a Doctorate in Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from a&nbsp; recognized institution and are registered with the Alberta College of Pharmacy</li><li>Preference is given to those with Additional Prescribing Authority (APA) designation or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire</li><li>You’re familiar with the Kroll pharmacy system (preferred)</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (including Word, Outlook, and Excel)</li><li>Strong leadership skills with a high level of integrity and work ethic</li><li>Ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times</li><li>Ability to adapt to new technology</li><li>Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing</li><li>High flexibility with strong interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse environment</li><li>Ability to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment</li><li>Action-oriented with a positive, energetic approach</li><li>Demonstrate the Co-op values of excellence, community, integrity, and people in every aspect of their approach</li><li>Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills</li><li>You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.</li></ul><p>Our Team Members receive competitive salaries, a comprehensive benefits package, and an employer-contributed pension plan.&nbsp;We encourage our Team Members to take advantage of learning opportunities, to grow and develop and foster a culture of teamwork and innovation.</p><p>If this opportunity speaks to you and believe you would be a good fit for this role, please apply online.
