We are looking for a <strong>Quality Technician</strong><strong>&nbsp;</strong>who has a drive for excellence.<strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>This is an on-site second shift position Monday-Thursday 3:30PM-2:00AM</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\" data-pasted=\"true\">The Quality Technician inspects materials/parts (raw, in-process, finished) using precision tools (calipers, CMMs) against blueprints/specs, ensuring compliance with strict aerospace standards (AS9100, FAA). Key duties include documenting findings, managing calibrations, running SPC, analyzing non-conformances, supporting continuous improvement, and maintaining quality records (PPAP, FMEA) for aerospace safety.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Duties/Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Inspection &amp; Testing: Perform dimensional, visual, and functional checks on components using CMM, micrometers, gauges, etc..</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Blueprint Interpretation: Read and apply blueprints, GD&amp;T, material specs, and engineering drawings.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Documentation: Generate inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), First Article Inspections (FAI), and maintain quality logs.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Calibration &amp; Maintenance: Calibrate inspection tools and perform basic maintenance.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Statistical Process Control (SPC): Manage SPC, run capability studies (Gauge R&amp;R), and analyze data.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Continuous Improvement: Identify issues, support root cause analysis (FMEA), and help implement corrective actions (CAPA).</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Compliance: Ensure adherence to AS9100, FAA, and company quality policies.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Collaboration: Work with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve issues</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>Required Skills/Abilities:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Proficiency with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM).</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Strong blueprint reading and GD&amp;T knowledge.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Understanding of Aerospace Quality Systems (AS9100).</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Familiarity with SPC, FMEA, PPAP</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.&nbsp;</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>Education and Experience:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Education: High school diploma required; Associate degree in Quality Management or a technical field preferred.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Experience: 2&ndash;3 years of experience in aerospace or high-precision manufacturing.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Technical Skills:<ul type=\"circle\"><li>Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and blueprints.</li><li>Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&amp;T).</li><li>Familiarity with ERP or Quality Management System (QMS) software.</li></ul></li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills for collaborating with engineering and production teams</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>&nbsp;</strong>For information on Precinmac, including more information on employee benefits and our company culture, visit our website at <a href=\"https://www.precinmac.com/maine-machine-products-company/\" target=\"_blank\">www.precinmac.com</a></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><em>Precinmac is an equal opportunity, affirmative action employer.
