Demonstrate clinical competence in resuscitation skills appropriate for age of transported patients (e.g., Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals (PEEP), Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)) c. Possess two years recent experience in critical care setting (Intensive Care Unit (ICU)/Critical Care Unit (CCU)/Emergency Department (ED)/CCT) d. Complete a formal orientation program to the CCT provider agency’s policies, equipment, and medical protocols. JOIN A TEAM ENVIRONMENT WITH NEW, STATE-OF-THE-ART EQUIPMENT AND MODERN TECHNOLOGY. Critical Care Transport Nurses utilize their training and experience to provide Basic and Advanced Life Support during high-risk ambulance transport. Working alongside specially trained EMTs, the CCT Transport Nurse provides direct patient care to patients that may require cardiac and respiratory monitoring, IV-infused medications, and ventilators. Transports are generally for critically ill patients who are being moved between hospitals and/or facilities.
