Responsibilities
Let your journey begin. Howmet is now seeking for a Maintenance Electronic Technician in its Winsted, CT Location.
Job Summary
As the Maintenance Electronic Technician, you will be required to troubleshoot, repair, maintain and upgrade manufacturing equipment.
Essential Functions
• Troubleshoot CNC/PLC controlled equipment problems using schematics and manuals
• Perform basic and complex machine/plant wiring
• Use test equipment to solve problems
• Troubleshoot and repair AC/DC servo drives, power supplies, and feedback devices
• Troubleshoot/replace various switches and electrical components
• Design/assist in equipment refurbishments and /or upgrades
Job Responsibilities
• Partner with vendors as needed
• Order parts, replace inventory
• Maintain 6S and other area housekeeping standards
• Participate and actively promote continuous improvement activities
• Actively participate in job specific training, promote and comply with all Quality and EHS programs and policies.
• Follow policies and procedures as outlined in Employee Handbook
• Maintain acceptable attendance
• Perform all other job duties as assigned

Qualifications
Education:
• HS diploma/GED required
• Associate's degree in electronics preferred
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
• Knowledge/experience/training with machine tool controls CNC and PLC
• Experience with 480/277/220 three phase power, transformers and wiring.
• Use of advanced trades math together with the use of complicated drawings, specifications, charts and technical skills knowledge
• Ability to plan, troubleshoot, perform and make decisions as to the sequence of set-ups, operations and processes
• Ability to interpret instructions, prescribed routines, methods and practices
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
• Computer experience in related maintenance databases
• Background with electrical engineering, preferred

"InternalResponsibilitiesStr": "<p><i>Let your journey begin.</i> Howmet is now seeking for a <strong>Maintenance Electronic Technician</strong> in its Winsted, CT Location. </p><p><span style=\"font-family: Aptos, sans-serif;\"><strong>Job Summary</strong></span></p><p>As the <strong>Maintenance Electronic Technician,</strong> you will be required to troubleshoot, repair, maintain and upgrade manufacturing equipment.</p><p><span style=\"font-family: Aptos, sans-serif;\"><strong>Essential Functions</strong></span></p><p>• Troubleshoot CNC/PLC controlled equipment problems using schematics and manuals</p><p>• Perform basic and complex machine/plant wiring</p><p>• Use test equipment to solve problems</p><p>• Troubleshoot and repair AC/DC servo drives, power supplies, and feedback devices</p><p>• Troubleshoot/replace various switches and electrical components</p><p>• Design/assist in equipment refurbishments and /or upgrades</p><p><span style=\"font-family: Aptos, sans-serif;\"><strong>Job Responsibilities</strong></span></p><p>• Partner with vendors as needed</p><p>• Order parts, replace inventory</p><p>• Maintain 6S and other area housekeeping standards</p><p>• Participate and actively promote continuous improvement activities</p><p>• Actively participate in job specific training, promote and comply with all Quality and EHS programs and policies.</p><p>• Follow policies and procedures as outlined in Employee Handbook</p><p>• Maintain acceptable attendance</p><p>• Perform all other job duties as assigned</p><p> </p><p>Apply today to see if you qualify for the <strong>Maintenance Electronic Technician</strong> role. </p>",
