    "description": "<p>Zenlayer Inc. is looking for Internet Data Center (IDC) Engineers/Technicians to station at its data center located in Akron, Ohio.<em> </em>The job requires physical strength and shift flexibility to accommodate full IDC service coverage.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Duties &amp; Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong working knowledge with servers and network hardware/components, copper and fiber infrastructure installations and testing, data center product support applications, software (Windows, Linux, SSH, RDP, Putty, etc.) configurations and data center infrastructure management (DCIM) related tools.</li>\n<li>Complete cabling and installation in server, router, switch according to work orders as well as MACs (Moves/Adds/Changes) orders in designated data centers, including devices receiving, labeling, racking, powering and network connection, configuration, troubleshooting and break-fixing.</li>\n<li>Maintain a safe and secure operation environment by reporting any violations to the direct supervisor, adhere to security and safety of data protection protocols, error logging practices and support operating procedures.</li>\n<li>Maintain asset management and compliance with audit, daily log tracking, fulfilling documentation, retention practices and inventory checking. </li>\n<li>Provide smart-hands assistance at various sites within specified SLA (Service Level Agreement) response time.</li>\n<li>Provide status reporting regarding data center service availability, performance, and capacity utilization.</li>\n<li>Coordinate equipment/material receiving, shipping and RMA processing support when required.</li>\n<li>Provide general cleaning on raised floor, cabinet/rack exterior surfaces, work benches and other areas as needed on a regular basis.</li>\n<li>On-call duties as needed. Traveling for on-site service support or deployment when needed.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be action oriented – understand task priority and the urgency of meeting deadlines. Well-known who, when, how to troubleshoot networking systems onsite and hands-on hardware updates. Not only do you have a team player mentality, but you are ready to infuse passion into your work in internet networking.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Fluent in Mandarin Chinese (listen, speak, read, and write)</span></li>\n<li>Knowledge of networking, servers and OS. Understand TCP/IP.</li>\n<li>Ability to use IDC hand tools.</li>\n<li>Ability to lift heavy loads up to 50 lbs. Must be able to work at heights from a ladder and in noisy or confined space. </li>\n<li>Ability to travel 20%+ of time when required.</li>\n<li>Must be self-motivated, detail oriented, positive in approach, professional and help create, develop and implement project process improvements.</li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills.</li>\n<li>Ability to rotate shifts including holidays, off hours (i.e., graveyard shift), weekend and vacation.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preferred Qualification:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor’s or higher degree preferred.</li>\n<li>More than 1 year of above IDC experience.</li>\n<li>Previous managerial position in this category.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Any above-describe IDC qualifications, certifications or rewards.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> <br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">About Zenlayer:</span></span></p>\n<p>Zenlayer (www.zenlayer.com) is a global edge cloud services company headquartered in Los Angeles, with branches and affiliates in Shanghai, Singapore and multiple  international locations.
