    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>The Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining an aesthetically pleasing and functional outdoor space. The work that is performed may be indoors to maintain the interior of the community, outdoors to maintain the exterior, or a mixture of both. </p>\n<p>The Groundskeeper provides exemplary service in a manner consistent with the values and mission of the Castle Group.  He or she performs all responsibilities while demonstrating outstanding customer service skills representative of Castle Royal Service. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>May need to use an electric or gas blower to blow off decks, walkways, or debris. PPE’s must be utilized. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Must pick up trash from around property that is visual as well as trash that may collect under the base of hedges and plants. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Assist as needed with emergency clean up after storms (including wind events). </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintain cleanliness of assigned areas and good working condition of assigned equipment. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Minor touch up of painting of walls, doorways, and curbs. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Pressure wash walkways, buildings and other property using power washing equipment.  PPE’s must be utilized. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Will need to properly complete and utilize a checklist to complete daily work orders assigned provided by Property Manager, Lead, or Direct Supervisor. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Report areas of concern including dry turf or dead plants throughout property. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensures all safety precautions and procedures are followed while performing duties in accordance with safety guidelines.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. </p>\n<p><strong>Education and Experience</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalency preferred. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>OSHA Certification a plus </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Basic knowledge and understanding of irrigation, pest control, and landscaping.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Knowledge and understanding of Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) required  </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Skills and Abilities</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Operate mechanical and electrical machinery/equipment (i.e. blowers, power washer, etc.) </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills to help create effective customer-focused relationships with all levels within the organization.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Able to work under tight deadlines, use time effectively based on key priorities, and understand directives given. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Effective written and verbal communication skills </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and attention to detail </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong problem-solving skills. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Communicate, receive, and exchange ideas and information by means of spoken and written. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Basic command of computer hardware/software is required  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Position may require a valid Driver’s License. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Physical requirements</strong> </p>\n<p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
