With minimal supervision, performs skilled painting and general maintenance duties, including painting, staining, varnishing, refinishing, and minor repairs throughout the hospital and associated properties. Supports a team environment by assisting other trades as needed and ensures work is completed in compliance with mandated safety and quality standards.</p><p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent required.</li><li>One (1) year of work-related experience required.</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Experience in healthcare or commercial maintenance settings.</li><li>Experience in preparing cost and time estimates.</li><li>Previous experience in industrial or commercial painting projects.</li><li>Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices related to painting.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Performs painting services throughout the hospital and associated properties in compliance with mandated standards.</li><li>Prepares surfaces and applies paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes.&nbsp;</li><li>Adheres to chemical application standards to minimize fumes in patient and client areas.</li><li>Repairs doors and replaces window glass and hardware.</li><li>Cuts stencils for lettering and sign painting.</li><li>Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety protocols and properly handling materials and equipment.</li><li>Prepares cost and time estimates for projects.&nbsp;</li><li>Prepares cost and time estimates for projects.&nbsp;</li><li>Performs grounds maintenance as needed.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Skills:</strong></p><p>The Painter position requires the ability to perform general maintenance duties with minimal supervision while effectively organizing, prioritizing, and completing assignments in a timely manner.
