Our compassionate, inspired educators nurture individuality and character, fostering a culture of collaboration that challenges students to meet their full potential and prepare for a future full of possibility.&nbsp;</p><p>Join a community where passionate educators elevate their craft, inspire future-ready learners, and take teaching and learning to the next level!</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p><p>Gulliver Preparatory School is currently seeking part-time Swim Instructors to join our team of professionals. &nbsp; The Swim Instructor will demonstrate competency to teach and lead specific skills and activities in the water. &nbsp; Adherence to the Gulliver Enrichment program teaching curriculum ensures that each student in the program learns water survival skills and then professes to propulsion and stroke development in a fun and gentle environment. &nbsp;In addition, the swim Instructors are responsible for the prevention of accidents as well as the minimization and elimination of hazardous conditions in and around all aquatic&rsquo;s areas. &nbsp;</p><p><strong>Job Responsibilities</strong></p><p>The Swim Instructor key responsibilities are as follows: &nbsp;</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Passion for teaching &amp; working with children.&nbsp;</li><li>Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently.</li><li>Present a professional appearance and attitude at all times.</li><li>Maintain a high standard of customer service.&nbsp;</li><li>Begin and end class on time, remain after class to answer participant and/or parent questions as needed, and clean up supplies.</li><li>Instruct and evaluate students participating in swim lessons.&nbsp;</li><li>Responsible for the safety of participants in their own class.&nbsp;</li><li>Attend mandatory meetings and trainings as scheduled.&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain surveillance of patrons in the facility.&nbsp;</li><li>Act immediately and appropriately to secure the safety of patrons in the event of an emergency.&nbsp;</li><li>Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.&nbsp;</li><li>Submit completed report cards, skills sheets and attendance information on time.&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain a clean facility.</li><li>All other duties as assigned by Aquatics Director.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Qualifications &amp; Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>High School Diploma</li><li>CPR/AED Certifications</li><li>First Aid Certification</li><li>Water Safety Instructor (WSI) Certification</li><li>Commitment to Gulliver Prep&rsquo;s mission, values, and continuous improvement.</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Pre-Employment Requirements</strong></p><p>Criminal Background Check, Level II Fingerprint Screening(s), and Drug screen.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><em>Gulliver is deeply committed to the principles of equity and diversity and seeks to create an inclusive community for all faculty and staff.
