    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Job Summary:</strong></p><p>Responsible for assessing, formulating plan of care, implementing and evaluating nursing care for patient population requiring vascular access placed by Nursing Specialty Services.&nbsp; Is a leader and collaborates with the healthcare tam to promote a world class environment.&nbsp; Serves as a resource person for maintaining and troubleshooting vascular access devices.</p><p><strong>Definition of Shared Governance: </strong>Shared governance is a professional structural model, founded on the cornerstone principles of partnership, equity, accountability, and ownership that form a culturally sensitive and empowering framework, enabling sustainable and accountability-based decisions to support an interdisciplinary design for excellent patient care.</p><p><strong>Essential Job Duties:</strong></p><ol> <li>Performs vascular access assessments in a systematic and organized manner to provide high quality and safe outcomes.</li> <li>Provides direction and collaborates with team members to support a healthy work environment.</li> <li>Collaborates with nurses and physicians to determine appropriate vascular access device selection and placement.</li> <li>Analyzes collected data regarding vascular access to formulate a plan of care that contributes to high quality and safe outcomes related to infusion therapy.</li> <li>Initiates a plan of care with measurable criteria consistent with world class performance levels.</li> <li>Evaluates the vascular access device plan of care with the healthcare staff, patient and family/support system to maintain world class levels of patient satisfaction and outcomes.</li> <li>Contributes to a high performance work environment by seeking educational resources that enhance and maintain current knowledge and skills including resources specifically related to vascular access.</li> <li>Apply for nursing council or committee and be vested on one council at least every 5 years.&nbsp; 80% attendance in person or by phone is required.&nbsp; Advancements in Clinical Ladder will be reflected in yearly application process.</li></ol>\r\n",
