    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Description:</span><br>We are looking for a skilled <span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>Mechanic</span></span> to maintain and repair vehicles. You will be responsible for ensuring functionality and reliability of machines, vehicles and mechanical systems<span style=\"color: #333e49; font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18px\">. </span>Mechanics are responsible for conducting diagnostic services per department standards and factory specifications; deviation from standards and specifications require management pre-approval.  This position requires the ability to self-manage, self-motivate, communicate seamlessly and have a sense of urgency that team members and customers expect.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><br>Create a proper estimate informing your customer on discrepancies or abnormalities including the time to perform the service and parts required for the job</li>\n<li><br>Recommend additional repairs or maintenance needed to improve the value of the vehicle</li>\n<li><br>Perform assigned repairs and maintenance<br></li>\n<li><br>Test and recheck all repairs and road test all comebacks as assigned by the Managers<br></li>\n<li><br>Maintain and improve technical expertise through technical bulletins, trade publications and training seminars</li>\n<li><br>Advise your Manager of all equipment breakdowns and required maintenance immediately</li>\n<li><br>Respond to and follow proper procedures on employee and customer accidents, injuries, and loss or damage to any property. Report all incidents to the Manager</li>\n<li><br>A/C, Heater &amp; Refrigeration - Flush system contaminants, evacuate system, add oil and charge with Freon</li>\n<li><br>Run OEM performance tests and verify performance, utilize electrical schematics, identify and correct related problems</li>\n<li><br>Ability to diagnose and repair brakes, electrical, clutch, cooling system, suspension issues, and preventative maintenance.<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications include:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><br>High School Diploma or equivalent required</li>\n<li>\n</li><li>Auto mechanic experience preferred</li>\n<li>Valid Kansas driver's license</li>\n<li><br>Strong verbal and written communication and interaction skills required</li>\n<li><br>Ability to sit, stand, climb stairs, squat, knee and walk for prolonged periods of time, must be able to lift 5-50 pounds. Vision abilities required<br></li>\n<li><br>Good computer and software knowledge – able to operate diagnostic test equipment<br></li>\n<li><br>Qualified to operate a motor vehicle both automatic and standard transmission</li>\n<li><br>Must have basic tools for Auto Mechanic work</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>This position is subject to both inside and outside environmental working conditions, including temperature changes, outside weather conditions, slightly elevated ambient noise levels, minor potential physical hazards, such as electrical current , moving mechanical parts, exposure to hot equipment and cleaning and pesticide chemicals; and minor atmospheric conditions affecting skin or respiratory systems, such as fumes, odors and dusts associated with internal and external service station/convenience food and petroleum dispensing operations</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Benefits:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Generous PTO after 6 months</li>\n<li>Eligible for Insurance after 60 days of employment (Medical/Vision/Rx, Dental)</li>\n<li>Positive &amp; Encouraging work environment</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>",
