We welcome individuals from all backgrounds who are passionate about creating positive change.</p><hr><h3>Position Overview</h3><p>QCH is seeking a <strong>Job Developer</strong> to join our <strong>Youth Workforce Division</strong>, which includes:</p><ul><li>Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP)</li><li>Work, Learn &amp; Grow Employment Program (WLG)</li><li>Queens NDA Opportunity Youth Program</li><li>Queens Connect Young Adult Food Sector Employment Initiative (YAFSEI)</li></ul><p>Under the supervision of the Youth Workforce Division Director, the Job Developer will support youth ages <strong>14&ndash;24</strong> through work‑readiness training, career exploration, and employer engagement.</p><hr><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Recruit and enroll youth participants into employment opportunities</li><li>Build, maintain, and expand a job bank and hiring opportunity dashboard</li><li>Monitor workforce trends and employer needs</li><li>Conduct career assessments and facilitate monthly job retention clubs</li><li>Support participants in developing professional skills, attitudes, and workplace behavior</li><li>Assist youth in setting and achieving career and educational goals</li><li>Complete required documentation, data entry, and reporting</li><li>Conduct employer worksite visits to monitor participant progress and work environment</li><li>Facilitate orientations, service learning sessions, and workshops</li><li>Provide additional program support and perform other duties as assigned</li></ul><hr><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Human Services, Education, Social Work, Human Resources, or related field preferred<br><em>(Relevant experience may substitute for education)</em></li><li>Minimum <strong>2 years of experience</strong> working with youth, preferably in workforce development</li><li>Employer engagement, sales, or business outreach experience a plus</li><li>Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills</li><li>Experience facilitating workshops or training sessions preferred</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Salesforce experience a plus</li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism</li><li>Reliable attendance and punctuality</li></ul><hr><h3>Compensation &amp; Benefits</h3><ul><li><strong>Hourly Rate:</strong>&nbsp;$24.73</li><li>Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance</li><li>Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)</li><li>403(b) Retirement Plan</li><li>Paid Family Leave<br><em>(QCH supplements NYS Paid Family Leave to ensure full pay during approved leave)</em></li><li><strong>Up to 27 days of annual leave</strong> (17 days in the first year)</li><li><strong>12 sick days annually</strong></li><li>Specified federal holidays off</li><li>Professional development, training, and networking opportunities</li></ul><hr><h3>Work Schedule</h3><ul><li><strong>35 hours per week</strong></li><li><strong>Monday&ndash;Friday:</strong> 9:00 AM&ndash;5:00 PM</li><li>In‑person role</li><li>Evening hours required <strong>2&ndash;3 times per week</strong></li></ul><hr><h3>Equal Opportunity Employer</h3><p>Queens Community House is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
