Reporting to the Production Supervisor in our Fish Tracking division, the Electronics Tech must have a strong problem-solving aptitude and work well within a team environment. The Electronics Tech will build product and support production staff as they assemble and test Innovasea products used in fish tracking applications.</p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What you'll be doing</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide hands on technical support in a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment</li>\n<li>Quickly repair jigs and fixtures</li>\n<li>Work with the Technical Writer to develop and review Production manuals and SOPs</li>\n<li>Support the build and test of electronic products, cables, and assemblies</li>\n<li>Troubleshoot PCBs with unexpected behaviour</li>\n<li>Help develop and validate new processes</li>\n<li>Review orders prior to shipping</li>\n<li>Assist with pressure testing</li>\n<li>Assist with inspection of PCBs, machined parts, and other assemblies</li>\n<li>Assist with single-piece part flow manufacturing</li>\n<li>Identify areas for improvement. This could include cost reductions, capacity increases, 5S/organization, quality improvements, inventory reduction etc.</li>\n<li>Other duties as assigned to ensure Production targets are met</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Work with our Production Engineering group to help move new products into production</li>\n<li>Follow best practices and ensure that safety is built into our standard operating procedures and equipment</li>\n<li>Assist with the investigation and resolution of production issues involving parts, processes, and equipment, including but not limited to:\n<ul>\n<li>Collection and analysis of production data</li>\n<li>Investigation of production articles through measurement, calculation, and observational analysis</li>\n<li>Perform root cause analysis on non-conforming product</li>\n<li>New product/process trials and qualifications</li>\n<li>Use JIRA and Confluence to document</li>\n<li>Work with Production Engineering to bring new equipment online</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li>Assist with QA testing programs</li>\n<li>Initiate continuous improvement projects and process changes</li>\n<li>Participate in professional development programs, obtain/maintain relevant certifications</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What We’re Looking For</span><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience in electronic manufacturing or electronic design</li>\n<li>Troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills</li>\n<li>Good organizational skills and attention to detail</li>\n<li>Must be an effective communicator and have strong writing skills</li>\n<li>Strong soldering ability with surface mount components</li>\n<li>Reading and understanding electronics schematics</li>\n<li>Following company information security policies is a required part of this role</li>\n<li>A diploma (or equivalent) for Electronics Technician or Electronics Engineering Technology is required</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Benefits</span></p>\n<p><span>Our full-time employees enjoy a range of benefits that support work-life balance, health, and long-term success.
