    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Responsible for creating and implementing safety standards, programs, training, and interventions to reduce incidents in the</p>\n<p>workplace and promote safety excellence in accordance with company and OSHA/Federal/State/Local rules and regulations.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Supports Corporate Safety Governance System including all safety policies and procedures, ensuring self and employees are in compliance with OSHA/State/Local/Company/Client rules and regulations.</li>\n <li>Communicates regularly with Corporate Safety, Operations Management, Site Management, peers and subordinates, as well as representatives of the client organization, relative to safety practices, procedures and continuous safety improvement.</li>\n <li>Collaborates and supports Corporate Safety, HR, and Operations team to drive safety excellence at assigned location(s).</li>\n <li>Responsible for coordination and facilitation of safety new hire orientation, training and certification programs at assigned location(s).</li>\n <li>Conducts incident investigations, assists in identifying root cause(s), and implementing corrective action(s) to prevent recurrence.</li>\n <li>Develop and implements Job Hazard Analysis, Inspections and Audit Checklists to identify potential hazards and establish appropriate controls.</li>\n <li>Develops and executes a site-specific safety improvement plan to enhance workplace safety.</li>\n <li>Consults with Corporate Safety to design, implement and execute safety initiatives/interventions to drive continuous improvement and safety excellence. </li>\n <li>Coordinates & conducts ongoing safety training and Train-the Trainer programs.</li>\n <li>Maintain appropriate training and certification records including class schedules, registration, attendance, completions, safety certifications and re-certification.</li>\n <li>Utilize the Incident Management System to proactively manage safety data to identify trends and monitor safety performance at their location.</li>\n <li>Develop and track safety metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs and interventions.</li>\n <li>Take appropriate actions regarding safety inspection/audit findings or safety incidents.</li>\n <li>Assist with employee counseling, coaching, and proper documentation of safety performance issues as needed.</li>\n <li>Executes the CBPS Safety Cadence process to proactively manage safety at the location(s).</li>\n <li>Conducts daily/weekly safety huddle meetings and creates/distributes corporate and site communications.</li>\n <li>Performs other HR/Safety duties and special projects as requested</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS/MENTAL QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Travel required, or as needed</li>\n <li>Able to walk 4-6 hours per day</li>\n <li>Able to climb stairs, ladders, etc.</li>\n <li>Operate industrial equipment (forklifts, etc.)</li>\n <li>Lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs.</li>\n <li>Demonstrates sound judgement skills</li>\n <li>Demonstrates good communication skills</li>\n <li>Mental qualifications include ability to design and facilitate efficient and effective training programs</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Certification Powered Industrial Truck/Vehicle required (e.g., forklift, powered pallet jack, order pickers, etc.) </li>\n <li>Certified Environmental, Safety and Health Trainer (CET), OSHA 30 General Industry, preferred </li>\n <li>49 CFR Hazardous Materials, IATA and IMDG Dangerous Goods Certification, preferred</li>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree, Environmental, Health, & Safety required or equivalent work experience</li>\n <li>3-5 years safety experience in warehouse, industrial manufacturing, logistics and distribution and/or pharmaceutical industries </li>\n <li>3-5 years designing and developing safety and health training </li>\n <li>3-5 years PIV experience (Forklift a must) </li>\n <li>3+ years of Incident Management System (e.g., Gensuite) experience</li>\n <li>Proficient knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, etc. </li>\n <li>Knowledge of Web conferencing tools (i.e., WebEx, MS Teams) </li>\n <li>Knowledge of Incident Management Systems</li>\n <li>Strong coaching, facilitation, and communication skills </li>\n <li>Excellent writing skills </li>\n <li>Strong project management, organizational, administrative and record keeping skills </li>\n <li>Excellent interpersonal and
