    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>Position Summary</strong></p><p>Duties will include but are not limited to the following, routine maintenance and repair of facility and grounds. Repair and preventative maintenance of a variety of machinery, tools, equipment used in the facility. A strong attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously for long periods of time. This position requires a high sense of urgency with a focus on safety.</p><p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p><ul data-pasted=\"true\"><li>Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.</li><li>Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.</li><li>Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform other maintenance actions, following checklists.</li><li>Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.</li><li>Assemble, install and/or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment.</li><li>Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.</li><li>Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions.</li><li>Record maintenance and repair work performed and the costs of the work.</li><li>Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.</li><li>Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools</li><li>Handling and Moving Objects &mdash; Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things.</li><li>Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates &mdash; Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><strong>Position Requirements</strong></p><p data-pasted=\"true\">To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p><p><u>Education and Experience:</u></p><ul><li>High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.</li><li>Apprenticeship graduate or technical degree helpful.</li><li>Aerospace experience preferred.</li><li>Minimum 3 years of progressively responsible mechanic, aerospace industry is a plus</li><li>Experience/knowledge applicable to fixturing/tooling applications</li><li>Experience with hard metals such as Inconel and titanium is a plus</li><li>Working familiarity with shop planning/tooling</li></ul><p><u>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</u></p><p>Computer Skills</p><ul><li>To perform this job successfully, an individual should possess basic computer proficiency and functional knowledge with applications and activities.</li><li>Strong attention to detail.</li><li>Basic math and reading comprehension.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;Language Skills&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Ability to read and write the English language.</li><li>Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.</li><li>Ability to write appropriate correspondences.</li><li>Ability to effectively present information in a one-on-one and small group situation to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.</li><li>Proficient with MS Office.</li></ul></div></div>\n",
