The Fabricator/Welder will be responsible for daily installation, maintenance and repair of a wide variety of manufacturing systems, but especially in equipment changes or additions. This is a hands-on position requiring knowledge of mechanical systems combined with strong spatial skills and imagination of the item to build / fabricate. This role is located in <strong>Pine Hall, NC</strong> and will be fully on-site. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Starting Pay: </strong>commensurate with experience</p>\n<p><strong>Schedule:</strong> 1st shift Monday - Friday</p>\n<p><strong>Pay Schedule: </strong>Bi-weekly</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Fabricator/Welder </strong><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must have strong mechanical and spatial skills and knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems combined with excellent welding abilities and fundamental knowledge of all welding procedures and metallurgy.</li>\n <li>Involved in the daily installation, maintenance, service and repair of a wide variety of manufacturing systems in accordance with sketches, and manufacturer's specifications, using various hand-, power- and welding tools as well as precision-measuring and testing instruments of the maintenance trade.</li>\n <li>Fabricates and assembles structural metal products, such as framework or shells for machinery, ovens, tanks, stacks, and metal parts for buildings and bridges according to job order, verbal instructions, and blueprints: Develops layout and plans sequence of operations, applying knowledge of trigonometry, stock allowances for thickness, machine and welding shrinkage, and physical properties of metal.</li>\n <li>Sets up and operates fabricating machines, such as brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, and drill presses. Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.</li>\n <li>Inspects fabricated parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements and / or verifies conformance of work piece to specifications, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.</li>\n <li>Must be able to concentrate in a busy work environment and be detail oriented in order to maintain a high level of quality and a safe working environment.</li>\n <li>Reports time spent, parts used, settings and other job related activities in the CMMS system. </li>\n <li>Provides feedback to planners and supervisors in order to improve routine procedures, part availability and job preparation.</li>\n <li>Responsibilities include exemplary housekeeping and care of machinery and work areas as well as adherence to company policies and guidelines.</li>\n <li>May be required to provide assistance in the plant involving other types of general maintenance work.</li>\n <li>Completes repairs and projects in a safe and timely manner, ensuring that all special PPE is utilized according to company rules and policies, following job related SOP’s.</li>\n <li>Provides training and feedback to the operators and production supervisors </li>\n <li>Inspects work to assure proper installation, maintenance, and repair of buildings and equipment.</li>\n <li>Requisitions supplies, materials, tools, machine parts, and other necessary equipment.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Fabricator/Welder Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Vocational school training and/or substantial relevant work experience is required. Work history will be reviewed for stability where applicable and a clean criminal record is required.  Must posses the ability to read and write effectively.
