    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><link href=\"https://static.workforcenow.adp.com/mas/mdf-components/24.13.17/styles/froala_editor.pkgd.min.css\" rel=\"stylesheet\" type=\"text/css\">&nbsp;<link href=\"https://static.workforcenow.adp.com/mas/mdf-components/24.13.17/styles/froala_style.min.css\" rel=\"stylesheet\" type=\"text/css\"><div class=\"fr-view\"><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Position Title:</strong><strong>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Service Tech / Mechanic &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Reports To:</strong><strong>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Service Manager</strong><strong>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Exempt/Non-exempt: &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Non-exempt</strong><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Location(s): &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Holmes, NY</strong></p><p><strong>Salary range starting at $38.73+ commensurate on experience and technical experience</strong></p><p><strong>JOB SUMMARY</strong></p><p>The Service Tech / Mechanic works with guidance from shop foreman/working foreman in shop and/or field. &nbsp;The ability to perform basic diagnostics, basic mechanical, basic hydraulic and a basic understanding of service manuals. &nbsp;The ability to perform general services on equipment lines carried (oils &amp; filters). &nbsp;Prepping of machines i.e. PDI&rsquo;s and clean &amp; checks. &nbsp;The ability and willingness to work with other technicians to complete a task.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><ul><li>Consults with customers to collect information on equipment history, problem with the equipment, and/or known maintenance or repairs required.</li><li>Identifies mechanical problems visually and/or with computer diagnostic equipment.</li><li>Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, lubrication and tire rotation.</li><li>Performs tests on specific parts and systems to determine whether they are operating properly.</li><li>Examines critical parts and systems using standard checklists.</li><li>Plans repairs and timetables for completion; provides customers with time and cost estimates.</li><li>Performs routine and preventative maintenance including oil changes and tune-ups.</li><li>Repairs or replaces malfunctioning parts and systems&nbsp;</li><li>Conducts post-repair testing and diagnostics.</li><li>Test drives equipment to confirm proper operation, that repairs have been made properly, and that problems have been resolved.</li><li>Prioritize jobs and ensure maintenance shop is maintained in a clean, safe and organized manner.</li><li>Record keeping and documentation.</li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE / ATTRIBUTES</strong></p><ul><li>Extensive knowledge of all aspects of heavy equipment maintenance and repair.</li><li>Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues using diagnostic tools and software.</li><li>Experience with maintenance and repair of engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems and electrical systems on heavy equipment.</li><li>Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to heavy equipment operation and maintenance.</li><li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Ability to visually diagnose mechanical issues.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with team members and clients.</li><li>Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy parts and equipment.</li><li>Availability to work flexible hours and weekends as needed.</li><li>Ability to read work orders.</li><li>Ability to perform repairs in a timely fashion.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>Candidate must possess C.N.
