          "text": "<p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p><p>Crown Innovations is seeking an experienced <strong>Construction Plant &amp; Equipment Installation Technician</strong> to support the construction and installation of radio communication facilities alongside our Electronics Technician team. This is a hands-on field role, focused on excavation, duct bank installation, heavy equipment operation, concrete work, tower climbing, and physical infrastructure buildout supporting mission-critical communications systems.</p><p>This position <strong>requires 100% travel</strong> across the United States. The selected candidate must be capable of performing physically demanding construction work in outdoor environments while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.</p><p>This role supports federally regulated infrastructure projects and requires compliance with government security requirements.</p><p>&#xa0;</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong>Site Preparation &amp; Civil Construction</strong></p><p>• Perform trenching and excavation activities<br>\n• Install underground conduit systems and duct bank<br>\n• Calculate concrete requirements; form, pour, and finish concrete<br>\n• Prepare work areas for equipment installation<br>\n• Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances per drawings and plans</p><p>&#xa0;</p><p><strong>Equipment Operation</strong></p><p>• Safely and efficiently operate mini-excavator and skid steer (required)<br>\n• Operate jobsite equipment only if properly trained and authorized<br>\n• Use common hand tools and power tools in accordance with safety standards<br>\n• Secure and properly store equipment and materials after use</p><p>&#xa0;</p><p><strong>Infrastructure &amp; Installation Support</strong></p><p>• Pull and secure cables, including routing on structures exceeding 60 feet<br>\n• Assist in installing electrical components and wiring systems per drawings and job specifications<br>\n• Perform exothermic welding (training provided if needed)<br>\n• Work side-by-side with Electronics Technicians during site builds and equipment installation<br>\n• Troubleshoot field construction challenges and determine efficient, safe solutions</p><p>&#xa0;</p><p><strong><u>Safety &amp; Professional Standards</u></strong></p><p>• Maintain jobsite cleanliness and proper tool/material handling<br>\n• Follow safety procedures and use appropriate PPE<br>\n• Deliver safe, quality work on schedule<br>\n• Work safely with minimal supervision<br>\n• Perform physically demanding work during 10-hour workdays in outdoor conditions<br>\n• Work in varying weather conditions including heat, cold, and rain</p><p>&#xa0;</p><p><strong><u>Minimum Required Qualifications</u></strong></p><p>• U.S. Citizen<br>\n• Valid, current driver’s license with an acceptable driving record<br>\n• Ability to pass a government background investigation in accordance with federal contract requirements<br>\n• High School Diploma or equivalent<br>\n• Minimum five (5) years of relevant construction experience, including duct bank and conduit installation, concrete finishing, excavation, and equipment operation<br>\n• Experience using common hand tools and power tools in construction environments<br>\n• Demonstrated ability to safely operate mini-excavator and skid steer (required)<br>\n• Willingness and ability to climb towers often exceeding 60 feet and successfully complete a Competent Tower Climbing class<br>\n• Ability to stand, sit, crouch, and work in one position for extended periods<br>\n• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and move up to 350 lbs using appropriate equipment<br>\n• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work safely with minimal supervision<br>\n• Willingness to travel 100%</p><p>&#xa0;</p><p><strong><u>Education Requirement</u></strong></p><p>• Required: Two-year degree or certificate program in Construction Technology, Heavy Equipment, Electrical/Mechanical Technology, Utilities, or related accredited trade program</p><p>&#xa0;</p><p><strong>Schedule &amp; Work Environment</strong></p><p>• Typical field schedule consists of extended 10-hour workdays<br>\n• Work may require non-standard hours based on project requirements<br>\n• This is a 100% travel position</p><p>&#xa0;</p><p><strong><u>Compensation</u></strong></p><p><strong>Hourly Rate Range: $20.00 to $49.00 per hour (W2)</strong></p><p>Compensation is determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and internal equity considerations.</p><p>Crown complies with all applicable state and local pay transparency laws.
