    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Position Summary:</strong></p><p><br>Responsible for the support of the organization in overall Quality Improvement, Corrective and Preventive Action / Root Cause resolution, new product qualifications, and ISO systems support.</p><p><br><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p><p><br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Supports implementation and maintenance of ISO based quality system including internal audits.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Leads inspection efforts on new products, supporting ramp-up with detailed inspections and shifting toward process/product auditing as product reaches production rates.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Prepares and revises quality plans, inspection checklists, quality instructions and forms.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Trains inspectors and production operators in basic measurement and inspection tasks.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Creates and implements metrics/charts for tracking key product/process data.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Establishes receiving inspection requirements, and carries out or oversees inspections. Maintains material certification and receiving inspection records.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Works with Purchasing in handling of supplier evaluations and non-conformances.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Conducts qualification activities for new tooling and parts.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Identifies/investigates non-conformances and drives to root cause. Plays active role in continuous improvement.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Conducts and/or coordinates various product tests.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Write/revise documents required for quality related items.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Supports Engineering Change Request implementation and configuration management.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;All other duties and special projects as assigned.</p><p><br><strong>Education/ Skills/ Experience:</strong></p><p><br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required, ASQ certification is a plus<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Training and experience in field of quality, such as ISO 9001, SPC, Metrology and Internal Auditing. GL certification highly desirable. ISO Lead Auditor is a plus.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Composites or injection molding experience a plus.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing quality.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Able to understand and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Understands principles of metrology and calibration.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Capable of performing advanced math and statistical calculations.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC).<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Lean Manufacturing experience.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Project Management: ability to organize and manage multiple projects.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Computer proficiency including MS Office and Minitab.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.</p><p><br><strong>Physical Skills and Abilities:</strong></p><p><br><strong>Physical Demands</strong></p><p><br>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
