We have over 600 different meat products; we work with beef, pork, chicken, and turkey. Dan's Prize started in 1986 with 12 employees, and our continued growth has brought us to where we are today with over&nbsp;530 people.</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><span><b>POSITION SUMMARY:&nbsp;</b></span></p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><span><i><b>Maintenance Mechanics</b></i>&nbsp;are<b>&nbsp;</b>responsible for ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.</span></p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><span><b>POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:</b></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Performs preventive maintenance on wide variety of packaging and processing equipment.</span></li>\n <li><span>Specifies parts required. Orders if needed, and make needed repairs based on PM.</span></li>\n <li><span>Assists with training new and/or less skilled maintenance and production personnel.</span></li>\n <li><span>Troubleshoots basic electrical problems using various test equipment and ladder logic diagrams.</span></li>\n <li><span>Troubleshoots mechanical problems using various measurement equipment and mechanical expertise.</span></li>\n <li><span>Devises, plans, and completes mechanical upgrades, modifications and overhauls.</span></li>\n <li><span>Completes changeovers on production lines by following changeover check sheet and recommend modification to the sheet as needed.</span></li>\n <li><span>Performs routine daily setup and adjustment of all production equipment.</span></li>\n <li><span>Follow all safety and company policies.</span></li>\n <li><span>Participate in safety and quality training.</span></li>\n <li><span>Additional duties as assigned.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0.5in\">&nbsp;</p>\n<p><span><b>QUALIFICATIONS:</b></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Ability to repair equipment using hand tools.</span></li>\n <li><span>Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting ability.</span></li>\n <li><span>Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.</span></li>\n <li><span>Ability to read the input/output of electrical schematics.</span></li>\n <li><span>Helpful i.e. Knowledge of PLC’s (Programmable Logic Controllers).</span></li>\n <li><span>High School education or the equivalent.</span></li>\n <li><span>Demonstrated work experience in a team environment.</span></li>\n <li><span>Demonstrated ability to learn and use custom equipment and assist in installations.</span></li>\n <li><span>Strong communication and interpersonal skills.</span></li>\n <li><span>Initiative to work independently.</span></li>\n <li><span>Lift, carry or move light/heavy loads up to 50lbs</span></li>\n <li><span>Crawl over, under and into equipment as necessary to perform job duties.</span></li>\n <li><span>Work weekends when plant enters busy season and when needed.</span></li>\n <li><span>Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting preferably food manufacturing.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>SALARY:</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Pay Rate - $27.00-$38.00</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0.5in\">&nbsp;</p>\n<p><span><b>BENEFITS:</b></span></p>\n<p><span>Dan’s Prize offers an excellent benefits package.
