Description As a Dishwasher , you are responsible for the thorough cleaning, sanitizing, and organization of all kitchenware, service items, and utensils. In this essential role, your diligence and consistency help ensure the safety, efficiency, and success of the entire culinary team. Key Responsibilities Wash, sanitize, and dry all plates, glassware, silverware, utensils, and kitchen tools in accordance with health and safety guidelines Clean and sanitize larger kitchen items such as pots, pans, trays, and food preparation equipment Follow prescribed dishwashing procedures including rinse, wash, sanitize, and air-dry stages Maintain a constant workflow to prevent dish and utensil backlog during service Operate dishwashing machinery safely and efficiently; report any maintenance needs or issues Properly handle and use all cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety standards Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area throughout shift Return all cleaned and sanitized items to their designated storage locations Monitor temperature and chemical levels to ensure safe sanitation practices Perform duties independently and efficiently, with or without assistance Support BOH staff as needed to maintain a smooth and sanitary work environment Qualifications Prior experience in a high-volume or fine dining kitchen preferred but not required Familiarity with dishwashing procedures, sanitation practices, and safe chemical handling is a plus Willingness to learn and follow detailed procedures and cleaning protocols Must have Clark County Food Handler Card Physical & Availability Requirements Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods (entire shift) Must be able to lift, carry, and transport containers and items up to 50 lbs. Ability to work in hot, humid, and occasionally smoky kitchen environments Must be able to navigate slick or uneven surfaces and confined spaces safely Ability to transport items across all kitchen areas, including stairs if applicable Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled Ideal Candidate Traits Hardworking, reliable, and detail-oriented Maintains a positive, team-oriented attitude under pressure Values cleanliness and takes pride in creating a sanitary environment Able to stay calm and focused in a fast-paced setting Self-motivated and able to complete tasks without direct supervision
