    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>SUMMARY OF POSITION:</strong></p><p>Design Engineer is responsible for design engineering support of new and existing product, including part, tool, fixture, and gage design in a metal stamping, fabricating and assembly environment, under direction of Director or Design Engineer.</p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p><p>This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.&nbsp;</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Customer assistance on product design</li><li>Customer feedback on design for manufacturability</li><li>Participation in internal and customer product and print design reviews</li><li>Review of tolerance schemes</li><li>Tool design for sheet metal punching, forming and fabricating</li><li>Tool design for metal stamping in DiNamic press and standard tooling for slide machines</li><li>Fixture design for welding and / or assembly</li><li>Gage, staging fixture and / or comparator traces for part quality inspection</li><li>Establish and maintain design timeline</li><li>Collaborate with tool building team to build tools, fixtures and gages</li><li>Support production and Manufacturing Engineering teams during early product development and validation</li><li>Assist internal teams on other engineering functions as required</li><li>Participation in cross-functional product launch teams within the framework of APQP</li></ul><ul><li>Other duties as assigned or required</li></ul><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:&nbsp;</strong></p><p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. &nbsp;The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Associate&rsquo;s degree in Mechanical Design or equivalent experience</li><li>3D CAD proficiency required, SolidWorks preferred</li><li>Familiarity with LogoPress preferred</li><li>Minimum 5 years related design experience</li><li>Minimum 3 years experience in manufacturing, metal stamping or fabrication</li><li>Familiarity with APQP process preferred</li><li>MS Office proficiency</li><li>Established organization and project tracking techniques</li></ul><p><strong>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p><p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; frequently required to sit and talk or hear; occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms. &nbsp;The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
