    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>WAGE: $18.26</p>\n<p>DEPARTMENT: Recreation</p>\n<p>BENEFITS: No Benefits</p>\n<p>PERSONNEL STATUS: Part Time</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><strong><u>JOB OVERVIEW:</u></strong></p>\n<p>Under the general guidance and direction of the Assistant Manager or Night Supervisor, performs a variety of duties involved in officiating competition games at county facilities.</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><strong><u>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</u></strong></p>\n<p>Provide knowledgeable interpretation of softball rules pertaining to different age groups and league standards.</p>\n<p>Enforce recreation department rules and policies.</p>\n<p>Ensure safety and security of participants and spectators.</p>\n<p>Answer inquiries and provide information to the public.</p>\n<p>Perform general field maintenance.</p>\n<p>Other duties as assigned.</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><i>Any one position may not include all of the duties listed, nor do the listed examples include all duties which may be found in positions of this class. Applicants must be prepared to demonstrate the ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.</i></p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><strong><u>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:</u></strong></p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\">None</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><strong><u>EXPERIENCE:</u></strong></p>\n<p>Experience: One year of experience as a softball umpire.</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><strong><u>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA):</u></strong></p>\n<p>Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of softball rules.</p>\n<p>Skills and Abilities: Conflict resolution and communication skills to be able to defuse possible hostile situations. Ability to work as a team member and individually, follow directions, and complete tasks as assigned. Ability to work well with others. Ability to withstand physical demands required to officiate games and maintain an effective working relationship with other employees and the public.</p>\n<p><strong><u>YOUR SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS</u></strong><u>:</u></p>\n<p>Must possess a valid Utah Driver's License and have a good driving record.</p>\n<p>Must have a telephone.</p>\n<p>Must be adaptable to changing work hours as schedule may vary depending on scheduled games.</p>\n<p>Must be willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays.</p>\n<p>Due to the nature of this position, the successful candidate may be required to complete a pre-employment background check prior to starting the position.</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><strong><u>PHYSICAL DEMANDS:</u></strong></p>\n<p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
