We offer locals and visitors an opportunity to experience breathtaking Alaska scenery, explore the miles of trails atop Mount Roberts, and learn more about Alaska Native culture. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Summary</strong></p>\n<p>Prepare a variety of hot and cold beverages and coffee that includes bottled and canned drinks. Retail selling of prepared foods including, but not limited to hot dogs, chips, and various other snacks. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Part-time and full-time schedules are available.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>We're excited to share that the job is based in beautiful Juneau, Alaska! We kindly ask that all applicants either live in Juneau or be open to relocating at their own expense. </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Pay and Benefits: </strong></p>\n<p>Seasonal Employees are eligible for the Seasonal Employee Layoff Bonus Plan. The plan is designed to provide an effective means to motivate and compensate eligible seasonal employees during the term of their assignment. However, Goldbelt, Inc. may, in certain limited circumstances, grant discretionary performance bonuses outside of this program, in the sole discretion of the Company.</p>\n<p>Goldbelt, Inc. hopes that by providing short-term incentive compensation, this will motivate and increase the retention rate among its employees which in turn will enhance Goldbelt Inc.’s long-term value.</p>\n<p>Starting Rate: $16.00 - DOE </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Necessary Skills and Knowledge</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to provide quality customer service with a SMILE.</li>\n <li>Ability to operate technical equipment (espresso machine and cash register).</li>\n <li>Knowledge and skill in making a large variety of coffee drinks.</li>\n <li>Ability to accurately exchange money with the customers.</li>\n <li>Ability to reconcile all cash and money at the end of the day.</li>\n <li>Ability and willingness to maintain a clean, healthy, and safe working environment.</li>\n <li>Ability to learn and use the company computer to input data on a day-to-day basis.</li>\n <li>Ability to coordinate multiple activities with attention to detail.</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.</li>\n <li>This position requires heavy customer contact and excellent customer service skills.</li>\n <li>A positive focus and customer service skills is to ensure the return of our customers.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of customer service techniques.</li>\n <li>Ability to meet time and attendance requirements. </li>\n <li>Ability to work all different shifts including days, evenings, holidays and weekends. </li>\n <li>Ability to handle stress under pressure. </li>\n <li>Ability to provide quality customer service. </li>\n <li>Able to communicate verbally and understand and follow written and verbal instruction. </li>\n <li>Skill in establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with other employees. </li>\n <li>Ability to work directly with the public, providing information and assistance on a daily basis. </li>\n <li>Ability/willingness to learn and pass on to guests those areas of interest to visitors, such as local history, people, culture, geography, etc. </li>\n <li>Some knowledge of basic cleaning principles, equipment and products. </li>\n <li>Detail oriented.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications (education, experience, skills)</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>State of Alaska Food Workers Card.</li>\n <li>Three (3) months Barista experience.</li>\n <li>Ability to successfully pass a background check.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferrred Qualifications (education, experience, skills)</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Recently completed a Barista Training Program is preferred. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Job Duties</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Prepare hot and cold beverages.</li>\n <li>Preparation of prepared foods for re-sale.</li>\n <li>Accurate cash handling and use of credit card machine.</li>\n <li>Opening and/or closing the coffee shop as scheduled.</li>\n <li>Cleaning and sanitizing work area as required by the State of Alaska.</li>\n <li>Provide exceptional customer service daily.</li>\n <li>Promote sales of products through guest interaction.</li>\n <li>Skill in establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with other employees, and supervising, guiding, and training staff.</li>\n <li>Ability to work directly with the public, providing information and assistance daily.</li>\n <li>Ability/willingness to learn and pass on to passengers those areas of interest to visitors, such as local history, people, culture, geography, etc.</li>\n <li>Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.</li>\n</ul>",
