Our full-service line-up also features quality parts, state-of-the-art service, collision centers and fuel, leasing/rental, financing, and insurance. Our locations are authorized service centers for Mack, Volvo, Cummins, Meritor, Eaton and Fuller warranties. TEC truly offers the convenience of one-stop shopping for all trucking-related needs.</p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>This position is primarily responsible for performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing, and repairing heavy-duty trucks.  We offer in-house advanced-training opportunities - we are one of only three dealer groups in North America that is certified to conduct all Mack/Volvo training up to the master tech certification within our in house Training Centers. We cover travel costs for our technicians to attend training. We also offer a family-oriented work environment.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostic tests to troubleshoot issues and repair vehicle to proper operating condition</li>\n <li>Perform advanced repairs and replace major components such as radiators, valve adjustments, and turbos</li>\n <li>Rebuild or repair major components such as transmissions, gear plates and block reconditioning</li>\n <li>Perform entire engine overhauls including replacing heads, rods and main bearings</li>\n <li>Troubleshoot and perform complex wiring repairs and diagnose and repair any electronic issues</li>\n <li>Perform routine and preventative maintenance services. Identify worn and damaged parts all parts to include major components, repairing, adjusting, or replacing as needed</li>\n <li>Maintain safe and organized work area</li>\n <li>Ability to be on task to meet shop quality and efficiency standards</li>\n <li>Maintain vehicle records by annotating services and repairs</li>\n <li>Follow all state and federal vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards; follow company policies, procedures, and safety and EPA regulations</li>\n <li>Must use all safety equipment necessary for the job</li>\n <li>Maintain current knowledge of job and technical skills by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical and regulation publications</li>\n <li>Verify vehicle performance by conducting test drives and adjusting controls and systems</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum 5 years practical experience in commercial 6 & 8 truck classes</li>\n <li>Must have own hand tools</li>\n <li>Highly proficient in the repair and diagnosis of all aspects of commercial trucks; such as diesel engines, transmissions, clutches, drive shafts & differentials; electrical systems, HVAC systems, hydraulic systems, steering systems, and brakes</li>\n <li>High expertise in troubleshooting using diagnostic software</li>\n <li>OEM Master Tech certifications & Cummins training preferred</li>\n <li>Proficient computer skills to input vehicle maintenance records and utilize diagnostic software</li>\n <li>Ability to meet physical demands of the job (job requires frequent lifting/moving up to 50lbs, climbing, stooping, kneeling, seeing, grasping, hearing, etc.)</li>\n <li>Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision  </li>\n <li>Ability to maintain predictable and reliable attendance and work in a safe and alert manner</li>\n <li>Valid driver's license and able to meet insurance requirements.
