          "text": "<p>The Emergency Preparedness Advisor&#xa0;is responsible for&#xa0;the development,&#xa0;maintenance&#xa0;and testing of the Hospital’s emergency management program across all hospitals and off-site locations. In cooperation with regional partners, the Advisor is responsible for developing processes and procedures that prepare the organization for routine response to standardized emergency codes including response to&#xa0;critical&#xa0;facility downtime, missing and violent patients, as well as&#xa0;non routine&#xa0;emergency crisis incidents through the development and execution of policies, education and event simulations based on the standard Incident Management System (IMS).&#xa0;</p><p>Halton Healthcare takes&#xa0;great pride&#xa0;in providing quality, compassionate healthcare services to our rapidly growing communities. Acts as a resource to department heads for emergency response procedures and staff training within various areas.&#xa0;</li><li>Collaborates with the Fire Safety Officer to&#xa0;promote&#xa0;fire safety throughout the organization by&#xa0;ensuring all&#xa0;training and&#xa0;safety plans align with&#xa0;the requirements of the Ontario Fire Code&#xa0;and authorities having&#xa0;Jurisdiction.&#xa0;&#xa0;</li><li>Develops and leads organization response to emergency codes as per OHA standards including but not limited to code yellow, code amber, code white, code black, code purple and code&#xa0;grey.&#xa0;</li><li>Develops and&#xa0;maintains&#xa0;liaisons with regional partners including&#xa0;Public Health, EMS, Police and Fire Departments to&#xa0;facilitate&#xa0;planning of coordinated emergency response.&#xa0;</li><li>Develops and executes live action simulation exercises to test the coordinated response of the hospital and community partners to simulated emergencies such as Code Silver or Code Orange.&#xa0;  &#xa0;</li><li>Co-chairs the Emergency Preparedness Coordinating Committee which&#xa0;is responsible for&#xa0;the development,&#xa0;review&#xa0;and endorsement of all Code response documents for the organization.&#xa0;</li><li>Acts as the&#xa0;secondary&#xa0;fire safety and response expert for Halton Healthcare and is the&#xa0;backup&#xa0;liaison to the municipal Fire Departments&#xa0;</li></ul>",
