We offer <u>competitive pay and benefits, and well-being programs</u> to support you and your family.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>To Learn More Visit: http://www.geosyntec.com/careers/<u>.</u></p>\n<h2>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Undertaking the planning, analysis, permitting, design, and inspection of waterfront and coastal development and marina projects, shoreline protection, beaches, dredging, and related projects.</li>\n <li>Generating and recognizing cost-effective and constructible technical solutions to engineering challenges</li>\n <li>Writing feasibility studies, technical reports, and construction specifications</li>\n <li>Managing the production of engineering plans and drawings</li>\n <li>Performing engineering calculations (including numerical model applications) and critical reviews of technical reports </li>\n <li>Inspecting onsite works during construction phases for waterfront development and coastal resiliency projects</li>\n <li>Managing project budgets, resources, and quality of production</li>\n <li>Attending and conducting meetings with clients and regulatory authorities</li>\n <li>Develop proposals in response to RFPs, including build-up of project budgets, programs, and scopes of work</li>\n <li>Interfacing and communicating with clients and prospective clients</li>\n <li>Training: We also offer professional development opportunities including in-house seminars, webinars, and mentoring, that allow our professionals to build the technical and business skills necessary to become successful consultants.</li>\n <li>Fieldwork and Overnight travel: within the US and Caribbean up to 20%</li>\n <li>Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Education and Licensure</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in coastal/ocean engineering, civil engineering, coastal science, or closely related field (required)</li>\n <li>Master's degree in engineering, business, or related field. (preferred)</li>\n <li>Professional Engineer (PE). (preferred)</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Skills, Experience and Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>At least 5 years of experience (7+years preferred) in the engineering field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)</li>\n <li>Outstanding communication skills, with a specific focus on business/technical writing.(required)</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently and in a team setting. (required)</li>\n <li>Experience using AutoCAD (preferred).</li>\n <li>Numerical Modeling experience (preferred).</li>\n <li>Background is FEMA Flood Mapping and Coastal Resiliency (preferred)</li>\n <li>General knowledge of surveying and surveying principles. (preferred)</li>\n <li>Regular fieldwork and overnight travel (US and Caribbean). (required)</li>\n <li>Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required.</li>\n <li>Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel.
