Following instructions from blueprints, schematics, and engineering change notices, operations will consist of wiring, cabling, mechanical assembly, installation and repair work.<br><br><strong>Pay</strong><br>2nd Shift: $19.00/hr + $1.00 shift differential ($20.00/hr)<br>3rd Shift: $19.00/hr base + $2.00 shift differential ($21.00/hr)<br><br><strong>We offer: </strong><ul><li>5 Days of PTO </li><li>6 Paid Holidays </li><li>Up to 50% of health insurance premiums paid by Impact </li><li>Access to a retirement plan, financial fitness, and employee savings programs </li></ul><strong>Job duties and responsibilities:</strong><ul><li>Install large components and sub-assemblies into electrical compartments.</li><li>Route loose wires and cables to the appropriate components within the electrical compartment.</li><li>Route and terminate cables throughout the electrical compartment.</li><li>Assist in correcting any non-conforming issues found by Quality.</li><li>Follow process and quality gate sheets.</li><li>Ability to verify gauge calibration.</li><li>Apply proper torque values per engineering standards.</li><li>Maintain area cleanliness and organization.</li><li>Advanced duties and responsibilities</li><li>Install wire harnesses and/or loose wires to panel assemblies and make terminations at the appropriate electrical component.</li><li>Construct plug assemblies and terminate wires per plug charts.</li><li>Apply wires and cables to process drawings to create wire harnesses.</li><li>Train others.</li></ul><strong>Qualifications, Experience, Education:</strong><ul><li>Minimum of one year manufacturing experience, preferably heavy industrial.</li><li>Must be able to read a tape measure</li><li>Experience with hand tools. </li><li>Experience with blueprints and wiring/wire schematics (Preferred)</li><li>Student mentality</li><li>Experience in operating forklift and/or crane preferred.</li><li>Basic PC knowledge for data entry.</li><li>Must be familiar with manufacturing environment, with use of industrial equipment and mechanics, heavy structural assembly, and ability to use various hand and power tools and measuring devices.</li></ul><strong>Preferred Skills:</strong><ul><li>Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, wire running list, and other visual aids.</li><li>Essential and Physical Activities Functions</li><li>Strength – Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs, push and pull up to 75lb.</li><li>Motion – Constant walking, frequent and sustained bending, crouching, stopping, kneeing, squatting and overhead reaching and climbing ladders.</li><li>Vision/Hearing Requirements – Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions and hear audible alarms.</li><li>Work Environment- Works on varied surfaces, concrete floors, and gravel, rail car and locomotive floors. Works at varied heights from floor level to tops of locomotives. Work in confined spaces. Non-temperature control environment, all weather conditions with high noise and high dust levels.</li><li>Emotional Demands – Due to the working environment, noise, dust, personal protective equipment, employees must be comfortable working alone.</li><li>Safety – Safety Sensitive positions because it works in and around active tracks, rail cars, locomotives and other moving equipment.
