Description
Overview
Responsible for and has experience with basic aerospace sealing practices. This position must also be able to perform basic application of sealants including but not limited to reduced filet seals, overlapping filet seals, and decorative appearance and is also responsible for sealing and identifying any nonconforming parts, conditions, and manufacturing processes by performing the following duties.

Demonstrates the ability to be on time and ready to work.
Works with blueprints, specs, and work orders and applies sealant to meet quality requirements.
Sets up and runs various shop equipment, such as sealant guns and sealant wheels.
Demonstrates the ability to seal major components of sub-assemblies, major assemblies, as well as smaller bench work assemblies.
Demonstrates the ability to locate all safety data and be in compliance of safety requirements.
Demonstrates a team player attitude and a willingness to assist others to help support continuous flow of product add willingness to take direction.
Works in timely manner to meet schedule requirements.
Ensures product is conforming before presenting to quality.
Performs shop clean-up daily.
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Specialized Training:
Six months vocational training.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
