    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">GENERAL DESCRIPTION:</span></p>\n<p>This part time position supports the missions and operations of Scouting America, Orange County Council and the Irvine Ranch Outdoor Education Center.</p>\n<p>The mission of Scouting America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.</p>\n<p>The Adventure Hill Lead is primarily responsible for supporting the operation, training, and safety of the Adventure Hill program at the IROEC. This includes operational execution of a zipline, climbing tower, high ropes course, and low ropes course.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">REQUIREMENTS</span>:</p>\n<p>· Minimum age requirement is 21</p>\n<p>· Hold or be able to attain a certification relevant to independent course supervision: e.g. Scouting America COPE Director National Camp School certification, ACCT Level 2 Practitioner certification, Scouting America Level 2 COPE or Climbing certification</p>\n<p>· Maintain certification in Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid, CPR, and AED within three (3) months of hiring</p>\n<p>· Highly desired: Bilingual</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">JOB DUTIES</span>:</p>\n<p>· Responsible for supervising and overseeing high and low ropes, climbing tower, and zipline and all associated classes, lessons, activities, training, and curriculum.</p>\n<p>· Support the overall operations of Scouting America, Orange County Council.</p>\n<p>· Demonstrate proficient knowledge and implementation of mandated course safety standards and regulations in accordance with American Red Cross, Scouting America National Camp Accreditation Program (NCAP), American Camp Association (ACA), Association for Challenge Course Technology (ACCT), and best industry practices.</p>\n<p>· Must be able to maintain physical abilities to uphold certifications and act quickly in emergencies.</p>\n<p>· Deliver high quality programming, personify professionalism, and exhibit excellent customer service to all staff and guests of the IROEC.</p>\n<p>· Instructor development and in-service trainings.</p>\n<p>· Assist in overall administration and facilitation of programs as needed.</p>\n<p>· Complete regular inspections and maintenance of program equipment and facilities.</p>\n<p>· Maintain and uphold facility standard operating procedures including opening and closing the facility, class tracking, and staff development.</p>\n<p>· Delivery of timely and professional feedback about inventory, personnel and program.</p>\n<p>· Assist and facilitate programs and property needs in all areas as needed.</p>\n<p>· Perform other duties as assigned.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">PHYSICAL DEMANDS</span>: </p>\n<p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
