JOB SUMMARY : Promotes students’ participation in academic and social activities by addressing challenges related to physical, sensory, cognitive, and psycho-social abilities. Provides assessment to guide therapeutic intervention to ensure student success and promotes an exemplary education program fostering achievement for all students. Develops and promotes good relations among the school community: parents, staff, administration and other community members.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : The subsequent duties outline the fundamental operations of the position and exemplify the nature of the tasks carried out. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : The minimum prerequisites of formal education, professional work experience, certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, trainings, and other criteria that a candidate must fulfill to be considered for a position. Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
Student teaching/practicum/internship experience that meets or exceeds Colorado's requirements
Hold an active National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) license
Hold an active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Occupational Therapist License
Hold an active Occupational Therapy License through the Colorado State Regulatory Board (DORA)
Hold an active National Provider Identifier (NPI) and Health First Colorado (Colorado's Medicaid program) account and provide NPI and Health First Colorado account information to the Office of Human Resources and the District Medicaid office
Basic knowledge of technology for communication and formal documentation
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite
Basic organizational skills
Intermediate verbal and written communication and interpersonal relations skills
