The physician delivers high-quality, culturally responsive medical care while supporting the clinic’s mission to improve the health and wellness of the tribal members and local community. This position emphasizes preventive care, chronic disease management, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary care team.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Essential Duties</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Clinical Care</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide direct outpatient primary care services, including evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up for acute and chronic conditions.</li>\n<li>Deliver preventive care services including health screenings, immunizations, and wellness visits in accordance with evidence-based guidelines.</li>\n<li>Manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, and cardiovascular disease.</li>\n<li>Order, interpret, and document diagnostic tests, laboratory results, and imaging studies.</li>\n<li>Prescribe medications in compliance with federal, state, and tribal regulations.</li>\n<li>Provide referrals to specialty care and coordinate care with internal and external providers.</li>\n<li>Perform minor office procedures within scope of practice and clinic protocols.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Patient-Centered &amp; Culturally Responsive Care</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide care in a respectful, culturally sensitive manner consistent with tribal values and traditions.</li>\n<li>Support trauma-informed care practices and address social determinants of health affecting patients.</li>\n<li>Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment options, and preventive care.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Documentation &amp; Compliance</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain timely, accurate, and complete medical records in the electronic health record (EHR).</li>\n<li>Comply with clinic policies, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical practice guidelines.</li>\n<li>Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, and all applicable federal, state, and tribal regulations.</li>\n<li>Participate in quality assurance, peer review, and performance improvement activities.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Collaboration &amp; Teamwork</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work collaboratively with nurses, medical assistants, behavioral health providers, care coordinators, and other clinic staff.</li>\n<li>Participate in care team meetings, case conferences, and care coordination activities.</li>\n<li>Support supervision and collaboration with advanced practice providers as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Additional Duties</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support clinic goals related to access, continuity of care, and patient satisfaction.</li>\n<li>Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and community health initiatives as requested.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Education and Skills</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Doctor of Medicine (MD) from an accredited medical school.</li>\n<li>Completion of an accredited residency program in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or related primary care specialty.</li>\n<li>Current, unrestricted California medical license (or ability to obtain prior to start date).</li>\n<li>DEA registration (or ability to obtain).</li>\n<li>Board eligible or board certified in a primary care specialty.</li>\n<li>Current BLS certification.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preferred</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience working in tribal health, FQHCs, or underserved settings.</li>\n<li>Familiarity with culturally responsive and trauma-informed care models.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Physical Requirements and Working Conditions</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work is primarily performed in an outpatient clinic setting.</li>\n<li>Requires sitting, standing, walking, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.</li>\n<li>Requires visual and auditory acuity to perform clinical assessments and documentation.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>Reasonable accommodations will be given </em><em>to </em><em>qualified disabled applicants pursuant </em><em>to </em><em>Section</em><em> </em><em>501 of the Rehabilitation Act of </em><em>1973,29 </em><em>U.S. Code </em><em>791, Title 29, </em><em>and the Americans </em><em>with </em><em>Disabilities Act (ADA).</em></p>",
