font-size: 14px;\">Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing quality care to residents of the assigned neighborhood. &nbsp;The LPN functions as a professional caregiver who is accountable for planning, implementing and evaluating all aspects of resident care, including physical, psychosocial and environmental needs. &nbsp;</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\"><strong>Essential Functions</strong></span></p><ul><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Documents according to nursing practice standards.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Administers medications accurately and in a timely fashion and provides treatments to residents according to physician orders.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Provides physical comfort and a safe environment.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Accurately carries out physician/provider orders in a timely fashion.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Initiates, implements, and evaluates care plans/MDS on an ongoing basis.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Accurately completes admission and discharge procedures.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Coordinates staff and resident care appropriately to meet resident needs.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Follows all policies and procedures, annual mandatory in-services, required meetings, and consistently meets other conditions of employment.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Current CT LPN license is required.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">2 years of full-time clinical experience in nursing is required.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language in an understandable manner.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Comprehensive knowledge of geriatric nursing care, principles of nursing, and physical evaluation skills is preferred.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif;
