Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the operations of a high-end, mixed-use luxury asset in Plano, Texas, comprised of premier retail and Class A office space. This is a high‑touch, front‑facing leadership role requiring exceptional relationship‑management skills and executive presence.
The General Manager is fully accountable for the operational, financial, physical, and experiential performance of the asset and services as the primary point of contact for tenants and service partners. Candidates must possess strong leadership and property management capabilities, as well as the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver a first -class customer and tenant experience through establishing and maintaining best-in-class operating standards including contracted services, oversight of the property’s preventative maintenance program, and development of a comprehensive energy and capital plan.
Oversee all property operations, including preventive maintenance, life‑safety systems, energy management, capital planning, and contracted services.
Serve as the primary, on-site relationship manager for office tenants, retail tenants, and the local municipality.
Act as a visible ambassador for the property, proactively engaging tenants to understand business objectives, gather sales data, resolve issues, and strengthen long‑term partnerships.
Own the property’s financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, expense control, rent growth, accounts receivable, and NOI optimization.
Analyze tenant performance, identify risks or negative trends, and collaborate with leasing and asset management to develop data‑driven solutions.
Ensure timely and seamless tenant openings by proactively resolving construction and entitlement challenges in collaboration with the development and construction team.
Oversee the work process for ongoing services – including developing RFP, evaluating contractor submissions/bids, developing service agreements, work inspections, assuring project is completed in accordance with terms of service agreement and required documentation is delivered prior to project close-out and/or payment.
Recruit, develop, and retain a highly skilled management team. Provide employees with appropriate training to create an environment that maximizes performance and maintains consistency with company policy and procedures.
Cultivate a service-oriented, accountable culture aligned with company values.
Partner closely with development and construction teams on development/redevelopment initiatives.
Build and maintain strong relationships with the local community, including residents, community organizations, elected officials, and business leaders, to advance the asset’s strategic objectives and community integration.
Collaborate on the development and execution of marketing and placemaking initiatives that enhance brand positioning, elevate the guest experience, and drive sustained traffic.
Partner with Specialty Leasing and Property Marketing on the execution of events, sponsorships, and ancillary revenue initiatives aligned with the asset’s strategic plan.
Collaborate with the leasing team on tenant selection, lease renewals, and strategies that optimize tenant mix and long‑term asset performance.
Qualifications
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent experience.
Minimum 7+ years of progressive property or asset management experience, preferably in a retail or mixed-use environment.
Working knowledge of maintenance and operational functions.
Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and operating expense control.
Demonstrated ability to interpret complex leases, construction documents, and building systems.
Solution oriented and results driven. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Proficient computer skills with previous experience with MRI, Salesforce, and Microsoft Word/Excel.
Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to interact confidently with senior executives.
