Specialties include cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, cardiovascular surgery, endocrinology, gastroenterology, general surgery, infectious disease, neurology, neurosurgery, obstetrics and gynecology, occupational medicine, orthopedic surgery, physical medicine and rehabilitation, primary care, pulmonology, reproductive medicine, rheumatology, sleep medicine and urology.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Position Summary: </strong></p>\n<p>Performs physician defined routine and specialized diagnostic imaging procedures.  Provides support assistance/activities as needed.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Recruiter: </strong>Brittany Smithson || [email protected]</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li> Maintains established radiation safety standards.</li>\n <li> Obtains and documents pertinent clinical information and technical findings for review by physician for order clarification and follow-through.</li>\n <li> Performs routine diagnostic imaging procedures through technical expertise of equipment and procedure protocol.</li>\n <li> Assists in the maintenance of equipment, supplies and imaging areas.</li>\n <li> Maintains patient’s confidential records, reports and files.</li>\n <li> Provides patients and families with procedure explanation and/or written documentation of procedure. </li>\n <li> Proficient in required data entry, record maintenance and statistical data.</li>\n <li> Responds appropriately and timely to patients, physicians and other customers needs.</li>\n <li> Coordinates the smooth transition of patients throughout the office.</li>\n <li> Proficient in patient assessment, monitoring and sterile technique as required.</li>\n <li> Provides assistance with clerical and transport needs.</li>\n <li> Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings and workshops.</li>\n <li> Demonstrates competent performance of critical skills to include appropriate delivery of care according to the age-specific needs of the entire life span.</li>\n <li> Technically proficient in the operation and quality control aspects of scanning and image recording equipment specific to the assigned work area.</li>\n <li> Displays independent work skills by capably taking physician orders to completion to include correct patient transport, required clerical skills, physician defined scanning parameters, acquisition, filming and physician interpretation.</li>\n <li> Corrects drug, procedure and supply charging, stock maintenance and vendor ordering procedure.</li>\n <li> Efficient coordination of daily work distribution and patient flow.</li>\n <li> Performs other duties as assigned or requested.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Minimum Education:</strong>            </p>\n<p>None specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority.</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Minimum Experience:</strong>          </p>\n<p>Must meet all ARDMS prerequisites to become a candidate for ARDMS examination. <em>Certified Ultrasound Tech that has OB/GYN (preferably at least 2 years) and perinatal anatomy experience strongly preferred. </em></p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Licensure Requirement:      </strong></p>\n<p> Must obtain ARDMS registration within 180 days from date of hire. CPR required.</p>",
