Hunt entered the oil and gas business in El Dorado, Arkansas, and later played an active role in developing the East Texas Oil Field from the drill test of the Daisy Bradford #3.</p><p>Today, Petro-Hunt is a Top 10 Private Liquids Producer in the U.S. with operations in six states. &nbsp;We are more than just an oil and gas company -- Petro-Hunt actively purchases minerals and royalties, owns and operates a gas processing facility, is part owner of an oil refinery, actively invests in real estate development, and operates a private equity alternative investment division.</p><p>Little Knife Gas Plant gathers gas from oil production units, compresses it, strips it of Hydrogen Sulfide, dehydrate it, chills it to -85 degrees through refrigeration and cryogenics, separate the gas from the liquids and then fractionate the liquids to make propane, butane and NGLs. &nbsp;Natural gas is sold via pipeline, and liquids are transported out via transport trucks.</p><p><strong><u>Job Description, Instrument Technician</u></strong></p><p>Responsible for maintenance and repair of instrument apparatus, analyzers and control system for a natural gas processing facility. This will require tuning and monitoring the performance of plant instruments, including mechanical, electronic pneumatic and safety systems.</p><p><strong><u>Brief Description of our Facility</u></strong></p><p>At the Little Knife Gas Plant we gather gas from oil production units, compress it, strip it of Hydrogen Sulfide, dehydrate it, chill it to -85 degrees through refrigeration and cryogenics, separate the gas from the liquids and then fractionate the liquids to make propane, butane and NGL&rsquo;s. The natural gas is sold via pipeline and liquids are transported out.&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Duties include:</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Calibration and functional testing of environmental monitors for hydrogen sulfide, flammable gas and fire detection.</li><li>Maintain, tune, repair and calibrate pneumatic and electronic instrument systems.</li><li>Repair control valves, regulators and all associated apparatus.</li><li>Program and maintain the Distributive Control System and its components.</li><li>Maintain, repair and calibrate various electronic analyzers.</li><li>Maintain a parts inventory for each type of instrument.</li><li>Install and repair instrumentation tubing.</li><li>Test and repair pressure and temperature indicators.&nbsp;</li><li>Participate in our plant mechanical integrity program.</li><li>Assist on major shut down and repair projects.</li><li>Test, repair and adjust equipment controls and safeguards.</li><li>Assist operations department with the tuning and adjustment of pneumatic and electronic controllers. (temperature, level, pressure and flow)</li><li>Follow plant safety programs such as Lockout / Tag out, safe handling of chemicals (Right-To-Know), spill plan and other Safety Programs.</li><li>Wear 30 minute self-contained breathing apparatus in any hazardous vapor environment or for emergency rescue.&nbsp;</li><li>Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 75 pounds.&nbsp;</li><li>Clean assigned areas.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Job Position and some Requirements</u></strong></p><p>At the Little Knife Plant we like to cross train our employees the person selected will start out training as an operator. Once you become proficient in the understanding of the plant you will acquire a full time position as an instrument technician. At times you may be asked to assist &nbsp;our maintenance group with larger projects.</p><p>Must be willing and capable of working callouts, unusual work<strong>&nbsp;</strong>hours, in and around hydrogen sulfide, sweet gas, LPG equipment and in all kinds of weather conditions.
