Requisition ID # 173106 Job Category: Business Operations / Strategy Job Level: Individual Contributor Business Unit: Energy Delivery Work Type: Onsite Job Location: Danville   Department Overview Over 6,500 coworkers in Electric T&D ensure the delivery of clean, safe, reliable and affordable energy to nearly 16 million people in Northern and Central California. The Electric T&D Team is responsible for ensuring the electric grid's reliability and resiliency through the ongoing maintenance and operations of PG&E's 100,000 miles of distribution lines and over 18,000 miles of Transmission lines. Coworkers in Electric T&D's actively engage in the Lean Methodology through the use of Visual Management in Operating Reviews to cross-functionally identify and solve problems,  and create standard work. By working together as One Electric. One Team. We are delivering for our hometowns. Position Summary This position is headquartered in Danville, CA and is “hybrid” with the expectation of being in the office 1x/week (subject to change due to business needs). The Quality & Improvement Specialist is responsible for the ATS (Applied Technology Services) quality program to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and applicable industry standards. The quality program includes audits, internal controls development and reviews, performance metric reporting, as well as compliance support.  Collaborates with ATS personnel in ensuring quality compliance through project and process management, training and education, and advice and counsel. Monitors developments in changes to regulatory requirements and works to ensure our customers and regulatory agencies are confident in PG&E’s integrity and commitment to excellence. PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.  Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​ A reasonable salary range is:​ Bay Area Minimum: $​87,000 Bay Area Maximum: $​131,000 Responsibilities: Independently reviews and interprets nuclear regulatory requirements for records. Reviews nuclear documentation and makes final determinations regarding compliance with requirements for records. Counsels and advises leaders regarding regulatory requirements for the processing, filing and retrieving of ATS records that are required to be retained in the Diablo Canyon Power Plant (DCPP) Records Management System (RMS). Maintains expertise in RMS requirements and advises ATS personnel on RMS-related matters. Leads communications with DCPP RMS personnel. Independently reviews quality program records for procedure compliance and counsels ATS Leadership Team members or ATS employees on proper development and completion of quality program records. Partners with others in quality program development and process improvements. Supports development of and refining existing ATS procedures. Supports the development and implementation of quality & improvement policies and procedures. With some direction from the ATS Management Team, develops and maintains a secure website location for ATS quality program records. Reviews and processes ATS Chain of Custody records. Supports quality control activities associated with ATS quality documentation. Supports the advisory role in specific quality areas, including records, procedures, training, etc. Recommends metrics need for effective assessment of program performance. Determines and develops methods for compiling data. Prepares and analyzes quality data or information from ATS Self-Assessments, Supervisor Engagements, and Audit Program. Looks for trends in the data and makes recommendations for program/process improvements. Performs review tasks to ensure that results of management oversight programs (Self-Assessment, Supervisor Engagements, etc.) are appropriately entered into the corrective action program. Supports training and communications on quality program activities. Independently develops training content for certain quality program areas and delivers ad hoc/informal training to peers and leaders on same topics. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent 3 years of related experience Incidental travel may be required; less than 5% of time. Diablo Canyon Power Plant (DCPP) Records Management System (RMS) certification within six (6) months of job start date Desired Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field or equivalent experience Working knowledge of quality records management, including client requirements. Working knowledge of quality website practices. Familiarity with nuclear power plant quality requirements and regulations. Oral communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to effectively communicate program Two years of experience with quality records management Experience with quality control methods and practices nonconformances to department personnel. Ability to compile, interpret, and present qualitative and quantitative data from multiple sources. Ability to work independently, collaborate and be effective in team settings. Strong MS Office skills.
