          "text": "<p>JOB DESCRIPTION:<br>Early Intervention (EI) is a comprehensive interagency program that supports infants and children with developmental delays in their efforts to realize their full potential. It reduces the likelihood of delays among at-risk children, assists and empowers families to meet their child's and their own needs, and entitles children, regardless of race, ethnicity or income, to services through the program. The Bureau of Early Intervention oversees provision of therapeutic services to 30,000 children ages birth to 3 years each year. At the borough level, contracted service agencies<br>are monitored by the Regional Office.<br><br>DUTIES WILLINCLUDEBUTNOTBELIMITED TO:<br>Assist with the oversight of the Regional Office practices and work to ensure that they are consistent with other EI Regional offices<br>Supervise Regional Office staff, including office managers, Early Intervention Official Designees and advise the Director on all matters relating to the Regional Office performance<br>Work with staff to ensure delivery of high-quality services to NYC’s children and families, including implementing NYC Policy and Procedures and promoting regulatory compliance<br>Oversee staff work in the EI Hub, the NYS EI case management and billing system and work in a dynamic team environment to build commitment to the program’s goals and initiatives, by working closely with all levels of staff<br>Assist with staff hiring, performance evaluations and staff development<br>Assist with developing reports and presentations<br>Develop and implement procedures, databases and indicators to maintain information and monitor office performance and efficiency<br>Address parent and provider complaints and participate in due process proceedings as needed.<br><br>PREFERRED SKILLS:<br>- Knowledge of early childhood development, ages birth to three years<br>- Familiarity with best practices in working with infants and toddlers and their families, particularly infants and toddlers with delays and disabilities<br>- Knowledge of the NYC Early Intervention Program, its policies and procedures, and of the NYC EI service landscape<br>- Outstanding verbal communication skills, in person and on the phone<br>- Experience with meeting facilitation, mediation, or similar tasks that involve moderation and bringing a group to consensus<br>- Excellent written communication skills<br>- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, and experience working with strict process requirements and deadlines<br>- Ability to work both independently and as team<br>- Experience with case management or similar software/applications a plus.<br><br>Why you should work for us:<br><br>- Loan Forgiveness: As a prospective employee of the City of New York, you may be eligible for federal/state loan forgiveness and repayment assistance programs that lessen your payments or even fully forgive your full balance.
