    "description": "<h2>Description</h2>\n<p>Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Acting as the Mechanical team lead by overseeing a team of junior and senior engineers and designers in coordinating detailed design phases for all aspects of mechanical engineering work </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Working on challenging assignments that include investigating, troubleshooting, and solving a wide variety of mechanical engineering issues </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Developing integrated systems designs for the planned work, including: </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Design, modification, and analysis of power plant mechanical systems, including primary steam/water cycle systems and secondary balance of plant systems </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Design, modification, and analysis of Oil & Gas mechanical systems/facilities, including compressor stations, meter stations, pump stations, pipelines, gas processing plants, wellhead systems, central gathering facilities, and CO2/CCUS facilities </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Preparing and reviewing calculations to support equipment sizing, optimization evaluations, and selection  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Preparing and reviewing technical specifications for mechanical engineering equipment </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Preparing and reviewing material lists, equipment lists, line lists </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Reviewing piping drawings (Isometrics, composites, plans, sections, and elevations) </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Preparing and reviewing engineering studies and technical reports </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Performing independent reviews of work performed by others including calculations and drawing preparation </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Coordinating and providing guidance to other engineers, project managers, client personnel, and suppliers to ensure a complete and timely design </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Performing reviews of existing facilities to propose upgrades and replacements, and presenting findings and recommendations to clients and peers </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Develop your career via peer-learning through sharing of knowledge with other experienced engineers by way of S&L’s systems of process and associated “Communities of Practice.”  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide guidance as a mentor in the development of less experienced engineers.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Working directly with customers, interfacing with the commercial sales team, providing oversight and direction to others within the project team  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>There is potential for travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and to plant site locations for construction coordination, field verification of designs, or supporting facility commissioning </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide input/oversight of company standards </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Desirable Engineering experience includes:  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Combined Cycle Power Plants </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Simple Cycle Power Plants </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>RICE Power Plants </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Compressor Stations </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Meter Stations </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Pump Stations </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Pipeline Installation </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Natural Gas Processing Plants </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Central Gathering Facilities  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>CO2 CaptureAPI Spacing Guidelines </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>P&ID Development </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Piping Design Review </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Process/Hydraulic Calculations </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Equipment Specification </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Operational Reviews </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>PHA participation </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Constructability Reviews </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Schedule planning </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>HDD Bore Design </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Corrosion Protection </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>This position is based on a hybrid work schedule and will require in-office work 3 days per week.</strong> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>We do not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S. for this position.</strong> </p>\n<p>  </p>\n<p>Essential skills and experience: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>BSME from an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission-approved program is required; MSME preferred. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Ten or more years experience in the design of mechanical engineering systems for non-commercial, heavy industrial plants (power, oil & gas, or chemical), with a focus on integrated, detailed system design for new plants, modifications, or replacements;
