The</span><span> ranch assistant </span><span>is</span><span> responsible for</span><span> </span><span>supporting the fruit orchard, garden</span><span>, </span><span>fishpond</span><span>, and any potential expansions to what is considered the “</span><span>ranch.“</span></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">REQUIREMENTS</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Able to work outdoors for most of the day doing physically demanding tasks</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Able to create and follow crop plans</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Experience with pruning, fertilizing, and irrigation</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Knowledge and experience in </span><span>organi</span><span>c growing </span><span>practices</span><span> and soil regeneration</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">JOB DUTIES</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Maintaining fruit orchard</span><span> and garden</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Perform regular maintenance and manual labor including planting, thinning, pruning, irrigation/watering, fertilizing, propagating, weeding, soil amending, mulching, Integrated Pest Management, etc. with consideration for wildlife and guests.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Safely use tools and machinery such as trimmers, saws, loppers, </span><span>woodchipper</span><span>, gator, tractor, etc.</span><span> </span><span>as needed</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>M</span><span>ust be able to spend most work hours outdoors in the orchard, garden, and other ranch areas doing physically demanding tasks such as invasive plant removal</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Complete regular inspections and maintenance of program equipment and facilities.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Maintain and uphold facility standard operating procedures</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Perform other duties as assigned</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">PHYSICAL DEMANDS</span></p>\n<p><span><span>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
