In each of our regions, we are the best in radiology, offering all radiology services!</p><p><strong>Job Summary:</strong></p><p>The PET Technologist will operate PET/CT scanners to produce high-quality diagnostic images for detecting cancer, heart disease, and brain disorders. They prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, ensure patient safety and comfort, calibrate complex equipment, and adhere to strict radiation safety protocols. This position is located at our Orchard Park location.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Essential Functions of a PET/CT Technologist:</strong></p><ul><li>Perform PET/CT scans.</li><li>Prepare, calculate, and administer radioactive drugs to patients based on weight and protocols.</li><li>Prepare patients for procedures, explain the process, insert IV catheters, monitor patients, and ensure comfort during imaging.</li><li>Adhere to strict radiation safety protocols (ALARA), maintain equipment, perform quality control, and maintain patient records according to regulatory standards.</li><li>Work with radiologists, physicians, and medical physicists to review images for quality and clinical accuracy.</li></ul><p><strong>Education and Experience:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Must be ARRT(N) or NMTCB certified</li><li>Must meet requirements to perform PET/CT</li><li>Must be CPR Certified</li><li>Must be a registered NYS Technologist</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Requirements:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.</li><li>Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.</li><li>Work generally does not involve occupational risk; however, failure to follow established procedures and safety practices could result in minor injury, e.g., minor cuts, needle punctures, bruises from falls on slippery floors, or back injuries sustained while assisting in moving, lifting, or positioning patients, equipment, or materials.</li></ul><p><strong>What We Offer:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>PTO for full-time employees</li><li>6 Observed Holidays</li><li>Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and other voluntary insurances</li><li>401(k) Retirement Plan</li><li>Employee Assistance Program</li></ul><p><strong>Position Type/Expected Hours of Work</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Part-time, 2 days per week (Tuesday/Wednesday) - subject to change based on company needs</li><li>10-hour shift</li><li>Onsite</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>At Rezolut, compensation offers are determined based on the specific circumstances of each role and candidate.
