Description

Description As a Quality Engineer II here at Honeywell, you will support the Quality team in ensuring that products and processes meet customer, regulatory, and internal quality requirements. This role plays a key part in maintaining compliance with aerospace standards (e.g., AS9100), supporting root cause and corrective action, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Assist in maintaining and improving the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with AS9100 and customer requirements Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) using structured methodologies (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.) Participate in internal audits, process audits, and supplier audits Review manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, control plans, and inspection plans Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain) to resolve quality issues Assist in nonconformance management Support customer and regulatory audits as required Verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and applicable standards Promote a quality culture and adherence to procedures on the shop floor Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Aerospace, or related field) 0–3 years of experience in quality engineering or manufacturing (internships/co-ops acceptable) Basic knowledge of quality tools and methodologies Familiarity with aerospace standards (AS9100, NADCAP) is a plus Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) preferred Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP is preferred Key Competencies Attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced manufacturing environment Proactive mindset and willingness to learn Effective communication (written and verbal) Continuous improvement mindset (Lean/Six Sigma exposure is a plus) Working Conditions Primarily based in a manufacturing environment, with time spent on the production floor May require use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) Occasional overtime or support during audits/customer visits Nice-to-Have (Optional Enhancements) If you want to make the role more competitive, you can add: Exposure to Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma (Yellow/Green Belt) Experience using Minitab or statistical analysis tools Knowledge of First Article Inspection (FAI) per AS9102
