This role involves the fabrication, fitting, and welding of steel components based on job specifications. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and experienced in welding and fitting operations. Come join our team!</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong>\n<ul>\n <li>Plan work procedures by reviewing job orders, blueprints, and instructions.</li>\n <li>Gather required tools, materials, and equipment based on job specifications.</li>\n <li>Fabricate and repair steel parts and structures using cutting, burning, and welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick).</li>\n <li>Fit, assemble, and tack weld components in preparation for final welding.</li>\n <li>Monitor welding and fitting processes to avoid overheating, warping, or other material damage.</li>\n <li>Operate overhead cranes and other material-handling equipment to move and position steel components.</li>\n <li>Measure and mark materials accurately for cutting, fitting, or welding.</li>\n <li>Identify and verify materials for correct size, grade, and heat numbers.</li>\n <li>Maintain tools, equipment, and work area in a clean and organized manner.</li>\n <li>Report faulty equipment, defective materials, or safety concerns to a supervisor promptly.</li>\n <li>Participate in housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe work environment.</li>\n <li>Complete all required documentation and paperwork accurately and on time.</li>\n <li>Attend safety and continuous improvement meetings as scheduled.</li>\n <li>Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding job progress, issues, and improvements.</li>\n <li>Perform other duties as assigned by management.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or GED preferred.</li>\n <li>5 years of experience in welding and fitting, preferably in a steel fabrication environment.</li>\n <li>Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, welding symbols, and job specifications.</li>\n <li>Skilled in various welding processes (MIG, Stick, Fluxcore).</li>\n <li>Ability to safely operate overhead cranes and hand/power tools.</li>\n <li>Strong understanding of safety procedures and commitment to following them.</li>\n <li>Good communication and teamwork skills.</li>\n <li>Basic math and measuring skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to lift heavy materials and work in physically demanding environments.</li>\n</ul>\n<strong>Work Environment & Physical Requirements:</strong>\n<ul>\n <li>Exposure to loud noises, hot surfaces, and sharp tools.</li>\n <li>Standing, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), and working in various positions for extended periods.</li>\n <li>Use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is always required.</li>\n</ul> ",
