Description
Purpose
Assist in removal, repair, installation, and/or fabricate custom aircraft interior assemblies and components.
Essential Job Functions
Perform floorboard removal and installation. In conjunction with a helper learning to interpret the manuals in support of the task being performed. (AMM, IPC, Customer Supplied Supplement Manual). In conjunction with a helper understanding the VIP/VVIP interior presentation that is performed at all times during work being performed. Cleanliness, customer service, overall professionalism etc. Lower dado panel removal and installation. Removal and installation of wet barrier mylar. Removal and installation of seats. Removal and installation of decorative sidewall, ceiling, valance, door surrounds, MSA window shades. Removal and installation of existing moon mats. Removal and installation of insulation throughout the aircraft. Accomplish specific cleaning tasks in support of maintenance requirements. Aircraft interior technicians inspect, remove, repair and install aircraft interior pieces, including doors, galleys, seats, bulkheads, floorboards, emergency path lighting, gill liners, closets, galleys and lavatories. Become familiar with and follow the requirements of the RSQM, Federal Aviation Regulations, Airworthiness Directives, Advisory Circular, manufacturer’s service bulletins and any other required references to perform their assigned work. Never begin any maintenance unless in possession of the proper, current and applicable approved or acceptable data. Ensure the work area is kept to the highest standards of safety, compliant at all times, enforcing regulations and practices to avoid accidents. Ensure that good housekeeping practices are performed at all times. Perform the proper tagging of Aircraft components, parts and panels appropriately stored including racks by aircraft. Perform documentation procedures and sign-offs in accordance with Repair Station Quality Manual and respective task requirements. Ensure that tools and equipment are correctly used and handled for both safety and to reduce breakages, wear and tear. Ensure tooling, GSE and ground equipment is returned to its proper storage area following use. Strive for continuous process improvements and increasing efficiencies in execution and delivery with safety as a priority. Maintain close and frequent communication with the Lead Technician, notifying him/her of progress and any road-blocks or threats to task accomplishment that could impact re-delivery. Deal with customers in a cordial, respectful and professional manner. Ensure the highest quality service, safety standards and performance, with the objective of exceeding customer satisfaction in the re-delivery of airworthy, reliable and clean aircraft, in a
timely manner. Take part in any required training as determined by the company. Other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Reporting Relationship
Reports to the Project Manager, Structures Manager or Manager of Shops. Receives task assignments and technical instruction from the Lead Technician. Critical partnerships include: Aircraft, Avionics and Structures Technicians including Lead Technicians Aircraft Inspectors Quality Assurance Auditors Planning and Production Control Engineering Customer Representatives Qualifications
Interior Technician I
REQUIRED
High School Diploma/GED. 3+ years’ experience in the fabrication, repair and installation of custom VVIP / VIP aircraft interiors. Is required to be proficient in oral and written English. DESIRED
Aircraft maintenance experience on current fleet types being maintained or modified by the Repair Station.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, structure repair manuals, understanding symbols, flags, and general notes - Identify aircraft locations by station, butt-line, and waterline as shown on engineering documentation and technical orders. Able to read, interpret and apply FAA approved or accepted data i.e. IPC, M/M, OHM, SRM proficiently. Proven ability to work alone and in a team environment. Effective decision-making skills. Dependability: personally responsible, completes work in a timely manner, and performs tasks accurately. Motivation: must maintain a positive attitude and strong work energy. Organization: very detail oriented and always comes prepared. Working Conditions
The work is performed in an office environment, aircraft hangar, at the departure gate or on the aircraft parking ramp.

Exposure to climate changes normally experienced in an aviation repair facility. OCCASIONAL
Lift up to 50 pounds. Climbing, stooping, kneeling, squatting, and reaching. FREQUENT
